this station gives access to the green line, orange line, and commuter rail. haven't seen any bus stops over here but there are usually shuttle buses for certain companies to get to work. location is in the west end and where td garden is. do expect the trains to be pack when there is a game esp when it's hockey season/bruin fans everywhere.
when there's events at the td garden, you will see carts or vendors on the street/right outside or across from the station. they don't bother you though. nice people. same with pan handlers and homeless ppl. you will ALWAYS see someone holding a sign right outside the station. they don't bother you too though which is great.
there is also a cvs, santander, dunkin donuts around the corner of this station. if you go down canal st, there's also a few family owned cafes (mulligan's, bon chance, rustico), coffee shops, and a bar. there's also a usps blue dropbox as well if you need to drop off small mail.
every morning, there will be more than 4 traffic police officers. that is because there will always be a herd of ppl coming from all off intersection of the crosswalk. the police officers are okay but i have witness this one rude police officer yelling at a truck driver. the truck driver was at no fault but that dmn rude officer wanted him out of the way even though he was driving on a green light and there was no herd of ppl coming.
inside the station, there will always be someone working if you ever need help. there's this one mbta worker that i really like but only see him like once a week. he's always smiling and saying hi to ppl. there's also about 6 charlie ticket machines so there's never a line of ppl trying...
Read moreI had a serious issue a couple of years ago. I boarded the MBTA Lowell line around 6:3-6:40 in North Station. An African American stood beside me and shook his body. So I looked up at him twice. He seemed pissed off and asked me why I looked at him. I said it was a public place I could look anywhere I wanted. Then he started to punch my head until other passengers stopped him. This African American only punched the back of my head not my eyes or mouth so there are no obvious injuries on my face. I told the conduct that the guy punched me but he asked me to go to another cart without talking to any witnesses in that cart but keep this African American stay there. It was the first time this kind of thing happened to me and I did not know how to respond to this condition. So I did not ask for more information from other passengers or witnesses.
When the train stopped at W Medford station. After about one hour of standing outside at the cold night, two MBTA cops came. They asked me again what happened and then the Asian/Latino guy said I can go to court and sue this African American but this guy can sue me too because we fought with each other. He said who the judge would believe. What ridiculous thing happened here? The policemen did not try to make things clear but just let it go?!!!? MBTA becomes a place full of violence. If anyone feels unhappy he can punch anyone without...
