Boston 🌌 A Curated Collection of Chic Rooftop Bars 🈴️

Boston 🌌 A Curated Collection of Chic Rooftop Bars 🈴️

Came here for brunch and had reservations for 7 people. 3 of us arrived early and ordered our drinks (an Irish coffee and 2 mimosas) - it took over 30 minutes to get those drinks, when we were seated right next to the bar. My husband ordered a beer, assuming that would be faster, and still took 15-20 minutes to get, when it came just in the can. The waitress said she would go “make the bartender give it to me”. We did not understand what was happening. The bartenders looked drunk, unprofessional and more interested in flirting with the girls seated at the bar than making drinks. The food finally came after 1 hour wait, half of the groups order was wrong, and neither the waitress or food runner knew what was what. I wanted the southwest bowl, and was given the truffle bowl. The waitress apologized and said she would have them rush an order of just eggs and bacon. They came out twice more with 2 more truffle bowls (I guess the cook really liked those). I HATE mushrooms but I ate anyways because we were 2 hours into our reservations and starving. All of our food was bland, cold and definitely not worth the wait. I mostly had 3 pieces of cold toast for brunch. 2 stars only for the view and for the Acai cocktail, which once we finally got was very good. The waitress did take some off the bill for the meal mishap, which was nice. I would definitely not go back though. You’re better off going to Lookout or Revere hotel for other rooftops that have the same view and better food/service.

We went as a group of 5 on a Sunday evening. Weather was in the 20s so it was pretty cold to be outdoors on a rooftop, but there was an itty bitty heater in the igloo that probably warmed it up by 5-10 degrees with the “door” zipped closed for at least 10 minutes. It was comfortable but still on the cold side. The food and drinks were good. Food didn’t stay hot long since it was cold outside but surprisingly delicious. The menu was super limited with quite a bit not available. The drinks weren’t presented the best - photos on menu were prettier than what we actually got (if you’re wanting an IG photo). Space was plenty big for us 5, could have added 1-2 more comfortably. Last, everything is done through the app for ordering and paying. Service is solely delivery of food and clean up. The staff were nice enough, but there was an element of service still missing. But for the pricing and venue we felt it was more than a great experience. I would consider going back!

Was not satisfied with my experience here. To preface- our waiter was perfectly fine: very nice gentleman just doing his job. However, the accessibility and availability of items was slim. When arriving, our igloo was not heated, they only turned it on when we arrived but it was solely insulted by a small, cheap heater that did little to warm off the winter chill despite us all being bundled up. We could not call ahead to request or speak with anyone because the phones were broken, and the person I spoke with at hotel only had confirmed the phones being broken before ending the conversation. We were seated in comfortable chairs, but around a table very low to the ground not fitted for dining. The appetizers originally requested off the limited menu were not in stock. When appetizers were brought we had not received any plates or utensils and had to request them. When selecting drinks none of the draft requested were available (though the waiter was gracious enough to bring a local beer up to try- that was appreciated). Because my reservations was made to celebrate three birthdays, we brought a cake with us to celebrate with. When dinner was over and we had asked if the restaurant could cut and or be able to plate the cake for us, the waiter said absolutely. The manager then brought us the cake himself to drop off. When the waiter came back and we asked again, he asked if the manager told us as he told him about the fifty dollar surcharge to cut and plate the cake. I was shocked at this and immediately asked for plates and knives to do it ourselves as we were not informed of this when the manager himself dropped the cake off. Overall, I nor my party was particularly satisfied with our experience here, as the expectation levels for basic necessities or normalities were not met. With that said, dine at your own discretion as some of these things might not bother you, but even with the view, I will not return here with the combination of all of the small...

I am giving the restaurant 2 stars because the scenery is truly beautiful. There was a great view of the skyline, the day I visited it was nice and breezy, the music was also very upbeat but wasn't too loud to where you couldn't hear one another.

However, I do have a view complaints that made my experience underwhelming. The first thing is the menu was very lackluster. There was nothing that WOW'd me on the menu. The wings I ordered earlier in the day was very good, I decided to order the same thing for dinner because nothing really stuck out to me. When I got the wings the second time, they were not the same taste or consistency. The fries were severely over-salted. The second thing was our waiter. The waiter seemed unenthused about helping us figure out what to get. My boyfriend and I asked for a specific drink and was told they did not have what we were looking for. Instead of the waiter greeting us with something similar or another alternative, he simply replied "no, we don't have that." He continuously walked by us not making eye contact, staying away from our table, and not asking how we were doing. The person who brought out our food bought the wrong food to our table and even brought our plates to another table at one point. The drinks were simply not good. They were watered down and one drink tasted exactly like the throat spray, Chloraseptic. My bf also ordered a burger specifically with no bacon, the waiter bought the burger out with bacon. When my bf took the plate back we both concluded that the kitchen simply peeled the bacon off the burger and bought it back to us which really set off an allergic reaction. Might I add it was a birthday celebration, so this was an awful end to the weekend!

I would have loved to visit this space again. However, after the service that was provided, I would never recommend or step foot into this...

If I could give 0 stars I would. I had organized a bachelorette party and had a reservation for brunch on the roof. We had 13 guests staying at the Cambria hotel or traveling to this brunch. My credit card was charged over $500, I chose the buffet option, and signed a contract. When we arrived the morning of the doors to the roof we locked, no furniture was set up, and the cleaners told me it was closed. Back down on the ground floor the restaurant looked abandoned and all I could find was two confused employees in the back. They had no knowledge of my reservation and said there was no mamnager on site to answe any questions. While they were put in an uncomfortable situation that was not their fault, there was also no urgency in terms of calling a hire up or making things right. I was given the number of a manager and we decided to leave. When I reached out to the event coordinator who I had been in contact with throughout the planning process, I received no response. I finally called the manager and he said he wouldn’t be back on site to issue a refund for 3 days, but she had told him about what happened. Mind you, I still had received no communication from her. I’m unsure what kind of joke of an operation they’re running but if you’re looking for a place to go in the area it is not here. Luckily we had a great dinner at Moonshine 152 the night before, and were welcomed warmly for brunch at Amrheins last minute, so the weekend wasn’t a total bust. I don’t have one kind word to say...
