āļøThis is my go-to place whenever I'm craving a soulful, comforting, and freshly prepared mealš¤. Sufra Mediterranean Food has been one of my favoriteš restaurants since the first time I tried it, and I honestly feel like it deserves more appreciationšÆ
š“Iāve tried a variety of dishesš„ here and Iāve never been disappointed. Their Baba Ganoush gives me that authentic Middle Eastern flavor , rich, creamy, and smoky - and the Hummus, topped with jalapeƱos dressings, and a touch of pure olive oilš«, is incredible. Paired with their freshly baked pitaš« (hot, fluffy, and fragrant), itās genuinely soul-satisfying.
The Falafel š§ is another standout crispy on the outside, soft and herbyš„¬ inside -just the way it should be. šOne of my all-time favorites is their Jibneh bel Zatar (Middle Eastern flatbread topped with cheese and the herb blend za'atar) and egg dishš„ with Akawi cheese (if I got the name right!) me and my friends always order it when we visit. Their Falafel Salad and Fattoush Salad š„are super tasty too ā fresh veggies, crunchy textures, and great flavors.
I know some of you might find this a bit long to readšāāļøāŗļø but honestly, Sufra deserves every wordš¤ Thank you, Sufra team, for consistently serving food made with love. Keep going strong, some of us truly appreciate your...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNice little place tucked away in between the back alleys of the city. A worthy addition to the growing halal food scene in Boston. Coming from the Chi, where we are spoilt for choice I was surprised to find that there werenāt as many halal spots in the city considering itās such an educational hub and has a sizable halal food market potential. Anywaaaays...back to the main topic at hand, the food. The food at this spot is amazing to put it succinctly. Their trade mark shawarma sandwich hits the spot and checks all the right boxes. Their dish of the day is a lovely array of traditional levantine dishes that are done the way they should be. You cannot go wrong with place in terms of food, thats a guarantee. A little cramped for space, but i assume as they grow so will their brick and mortar presence. I assume this is like a little family outfit so they hired every cuz they knew , thats why you will feel the staff is kind rough around the edges, but hey maybe thats all part of their "feels like the bilaad" ambiance effort. In any case give these guys a try , you will not be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSufra serves truly authentic middle eastern food, which is harder to come by than one would think. The chicken shawerma here is closest to what youād find in the Levant, served only with seasoned chicken, garlic aioli and pickles. They also have fried chicken (zinger) sandwiches served with a mixture of mayo and ketchup - this is also a common street food in the middle east. The falafel are very good and they come in as plates with hummus or as sandwiches. The grape leaves are also quiet good! They have daily home cooked specials that are hearty, healthy and authentic, albeit a bit pricey. Of the daily specials Iāve only tried the kabsah (rice & chicken with sides of yogurt & hot sauce). They also have amazing fresh juices/smoothies. Their juices inlcude strawberry, mango, lemonade and lemon mint. The lemon mint is a classic combination in the middle east, itās very tart and minty, unlike the sweeter lemonade typically found in the US. I highly recommend you give Sufra a try. The food does take a little while but itās definitely worth the wait as everything is...
