Very NewYork-esk. We got there by bycicle. I do recommend to have a locking cable for your bicycle(s) once you get there. Across the street theres a parkin lot, but I dont know if it belonges to the Japense place across the street. Thaitations is hole on the wall kind of spot. With great service and even greater tasty food. We actually saw Asian people in the back cooking the food. Lol. BUT the place does need more love and restoring, to make the bathrooms and ceiling, at least, more appealing to the eye. People nowadays take pictures whereever they go these days, specially where they go eating, and I, as a tourist, like to go to places where not only the food and service is great, but also the ambiance. Which is the reason why I gave this place 3⭐️ for atmosphere... Now, the food and service deserves 5⭐️. The people who attended us were fast in acknowledging our presence as soon as we went inside, (you jave to pull the doors a bit hard due to some positive air pressure inside), and giving us a table and menu. The menu has plenty of choices. All delicious choices. Including vegan. I liked that they go into detail about all the ingredients for each choice. ⚠️CAUTION: if you don't like spicy food, or spicy food doesn't sit well with you, this is not your style of cuisine. But if you do like spicy, you'll find this is AMAZING FOOD. I ordered the Roasted Duck Curry. It came in a ceramic pot. The presentation was excellent and the flavors even better. Accompanied with white rice that I poured inside the pot. And enjoyed with water and an Iced Lemon Tea. Let me tell you about this tea. It is amazing. Sure, it is a bit steep in price for iced tea. But it is worth it. It felt like I was drinking a medicinal, refreshing, tasty elixir. If someone can remake this drink and add vodka in it. It would be the sensation of the party. I also had a coffee ☕️ (which they served in a ceramic cup. I hate it when I am served hot drinks at a restaurant in a foam cup). So I really liked that.) And for dessert I had the Vanilla Fried Ice cream. Imagine the flavor of a warm crunchy donut, with sesame seeds and honey on it, with the insides of a cold vanilla...

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND TREATMENT: Yesterday I ordered from Thaitation and parked in their established parking spots meant for customers in order to pick up the food. Since the food had to be eaten off the premises due to COVID-19, I did. When I returned to my car 20-30 minutes later, I learned it had been towed.

When I asked the restaurant about it, they stated they didn't call to have it towed and rather said that the tow company came to them asking to tow the car. They refused to pay any compensation for the $160.00 tow claiming that they were not responsible for the tow, despite me showing them proof I had been there to pick up food. I spoke to the owners and their nephew during that conversation.

I called the tow company that stated that the restaurant was lying and indeed they had called to purposefully tow the car. When I arrived to pick up the car, the towing company had said he spoke to the owners nephew (the one I had talked to earlier) and asked why he had told me that he didn't call. He said it didn't matter and that the car needed to be towed. He in fact lied about calling for the tow and blamed the towing on the towing company.

I paid the $160.00. I called them today and they changed their story three different times. They blamed me for parking there all night and day (I don't live in Boston and didn't visit Boston until that day), then stated that they never called and then stated that the spots were only for when the restaurant was open for patrons inside. Boston has limited parking and I was following the signs. They refused to reimbursement and stated that it was my fault for parking there (despite it being an established spot for their customers).

I have receipts to show that I have eaten there. This was the most expensive Thai food I've ever had including my tow.

I will never eat from there again.

Multiple lies and...

It’s a small, unassuming restaurant, and though it frequently pops up as a recommendation for Fenway, there were plenty of open seats on a Friday night. For most of the night it was pretty quiet, though after the staff played “happy birthday” over the speakers for another guest, they started playing music a little too loudly.

I really liked the tod mun (fried fish cakes) and the sauce - the salad isn’t my favorite, though the salad dressing was surprisingly spicy.

The rest of the dishes weren’t really spicy (we weren’t asked for a spice level), but I liked both the drunken noodles (especially the noodles themselves!) and the mango curry, which unfortunately didn’t have a strong mango flavor but was yummy nonetheless. My only complaint is that at the bottom of the bowl of curry, after finishing my meal, I was left with one long hair from the staff (it didn’t match our hair). I lowered my rating from 4 stars to 3 for the...

Solid Thai Spot in Fenway. Came here a few weeks ago while I was looking for a quick Thai meal in the area. There aren’t a lot of good Asian restaurants in Fenway, but Thaitation seemed like a good option. Along with Thai Iced tea, we got the Shrimp Tempura and the Duck Chili. The Shrimp Tempura, which also included an assortment of vegetable tempura, was coated in a thin, crisp batter. It was exactly what I expected to get from a typical neighborhood Thai spot, and I especially enjoyed the broccoli tempura. The Duck Chili was also enjoyable. Though the duck itself could have been more tender, the dish was elevated by its spicy sweet and sour sauce and a delectable concoction of onions, pineapples, tomatoes, dried chili, and mushrooms. Overall, a good spot for a quick Thai fix in Fenway. Not sure if I would come back, but if you’re looking for a solid and affordable Thai food, I recommend giving them a try.
