Really liked the vibes, but the drinks were just fine.

Been meaning to try this spot for a while, and finally made it in. Parking in this area is notoriously difficult, which had kept me from stopping by despite several strong recommendations from friends. The café itself was quite small, but the design was sharp: light gray tones, industrial concrete and graffiti, and clean tiles gave it a modern, minimalist feel.

We went with two of their most popular drinks: the matcha latte and the Hong Kong milk tea. Unfortunately, neither quite lived up to the hype. Matcha latte was more like matcha milk. I was skeptical when I saw the barista pour almost the entire cup with milk, and unfortunately, that first impression was right. Smooth, yes, but the ratio was way off. Barely any matcha depth. Hard to call it a proper latte.

The Hong Kong milk tea was also underwhelming for the price. It came pre-batched from the fridge and tasted identical to the convenience store versions I used to grab in Seoul. Not bad by any means, but nothing...

this is the second time my friends and I have tried to visit the sipping room and it was closed again!!! their hours online say it’s open at 12pm but the first time we went on a Saturday, it was closed. we checked their Instagram and they said they would open at 1pm and so we went again at 1:30pm and they were still closed! we tried again today (Tuesday afternoon) and the website and google said it’s open at 12. we got there at 1pm and it was closed again! honestly so disappointing because this has been one of the spots I’ve been really looking forward to visiting in Boston. the establishment really needs to do a better job at updating...

I think this might be my new favorite coffeeshop!

It is a v charming little place with tasty drinks, lovely window seating, and personable staff— it was pretty cute to see how the staff interact with their regulars.

I really like their Vietnamese iced coffee, it was the perfect amount of sweet and refreshing. Also, it seems like they put a lot of effort into making their drinks? I overheard one of the staff proudly complaining about how it takes 4+ hours to prepare one of their unique teas hahaha.

🌸 Free wifi (name starts with Public...Guest) 🌸 Outlets near ~every table (5 tables total) 🌸 Great natural lighting 🌸 Bathroom...

Oh, the atmosphere! Reminds me of the coffee shops I visited in Beijing and Shanghai. It's very much so a South-East Asian style coffee shop, which leans more towards the relaxed European coffee shop experience rather then the super fast-paced American experience. More vibey, polished, sophisticated, with new equipment, and high quality niche ingredients ("aura farming" might be a good description? haha). Absolutely wonderful place to go and spend time. I was just passing by and grabbed a HK milk tea, so I couldn't stay, which I regretted, but I would totally spend an afternoon reading or journaling some other day. Recommended!
