We loved this little hole in the wall bar around the corner from Government Center and up the hill from MGH. The food was great, the service was friendly, and the Guinness was cold. Went in for a beer and a snack late afternoon and lucked out on a great experience. We had the nachos and grilled lemon pepper wings and they were delicious. Real cheese and house salsa on the nachos. Meaty wings that were perfectly grilled and nicely seasoned.

This place is great! I’ve come here a few time and am never disappointed! It’s a great place to go and get drinks/dinner before or after an event in the area. They always play good music and have good specials. Service is always great and their salads are delicious! Not exactly the place you’d think to come for a good salad but I’ve tried a few of them and they’re always so delicious and a very good size portion.

To the people who left a bad review, GTFOH. Teddy’s isn’t a fancy, uppity restaurant. It’s a neighborhood hang out, pretty much a dive bar, and it’s AWESOME!!! Good music, good atmosphere, fantastic bar pizza, and Nelson our bartender was great!! Prices are extremely fair for Boston proper and we’ll come back anytime we’re in town.

I've been a long-time patron of the original red hat. Going back a little over 20 years now. I know that it's changed owners. I've even had the pleasure of meeting Jake a couple of times. He's a really great guy. I've been back quite a bit after the ownership change.

The service has certainly gone downhill my last several trips in. I feel like I'm bothering the staff by being there. They're not very friendly, and it seems that they'd rather talk to each other than anyone else.

My previous trip in a few weeks ago was me and my gf. We went on to grab a drink and a bite to eat. We sat downstairs at a table, and both male bartenders walked by us several times. Without exaggeration, we were there for close to 10 minutes until I approached them to order. If that's your policy, then at least have signs up that say so. I'd have no issues with that. Just make people aware. If it's not, then be more attentive. Don't walk by us like you don't see us. The place isn't that big and it wasn't busy.

Last night, we decided to stop in and give them another chance. We stopped downstairs before the Bruins game for a drink and some food. This time, we sat at the bar. Our interactions with the bartenders were very short. Again, it seemed like we were irritating them by being there. So we ordered our food and a drink. Paid our tab and couldn't get out of there fast enough.

I can say that I won't be going back due to the service. Which sucks because it has always been my favorite place to go in the city. When friends would ask me for recommendations, I always sent them there. When friends from out of state would visit, I'd bring them there. I hope that you figure out how to give decent service. I'm not even looking for great, just decent. It would be a vast improvement from where it...

I worked in food service for years, so I know how the job can be. Dude with the long beard and backwards white hat seemed more interested in playing bar games with girls half his age and sitting at the bar himself than taking our order. We struggled to get his attention for 20 minutes to place our food order. There was hardly anyone else there.

He didn’t ask us for more drinks (we had to flag him down), check on our food, or provide any kind of “service”. I think the only words he said to us were “yeah” and “start a tab?”. The bar and tables were half empty.

When the food came (pretty quick) it was mediocre and very salty. On my panini I found little pieces of salt like you would find on a salted pretzel. I’m not typically sensitive to salt but it was too much.

Then we tried to get the bill for another 15 minutes but our bartender disappeared. Another bartender helped us pay and leave but he seemed annoyed he had to help us since we weren’t his customers.

Doesnt surprise me this place was empty at 7:30 on a Saturday night while every other place had a...

Came to Teddy’s while in the area enjoying the end of summer, I was pleasantly surprised by the level of service that I experienced in what was self described as a dive bar from the door guy. The upstairs was closed for a private event of some sort but the downstairs did not disappoint. I enjoyed some steak tips with mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables (which I was happy to see was broccoli). Drink prices were reasonable and definitely worth the price, the bartender Gaylin(female) was amazing and very attentive to me and my groups needs. I ended up ordering some chicken tenders later in the evening and the lemon pepper wings were seasoned well and very tasty. I was also able to try the nachos my friend ordered and was happy to see that they know how to spread the toppings over the nachos and not just the top layer. I’m actually surprised that the tenders weren’t overly salty as I’ve experienced at other places. I’m very happy with our decision to stop here and considering we did not get to experience the upstairs I’m very happy with their rendition...
