Late review- been battling food poisoning since our visit!
I dined out at this place with my family. Upon being seated at the table, we were brought the menus and some complimentary waters. Our server appears and asks for our beverage order, we place the orders for drinks. When he comes back he had the wrong drinks and had to re ask for the order and come back with the correct ones. Upon his return he told us to tell him when we were ready to order. I told him we were ready. Before allowing us to order the server asked whether or not the bill was together or separate. I have no idea why he would’ve assumed as such- because we came in as a family, my husband, myself and our children. But anyways- My husband proceeded to order a burger and the server asked how he wanted it done, my husband said well done and even said it in Spanish, because he realized the server was Spanish speaking as well as English speaking. I then order my children their meals, two additional entrees of Mac and cheese, and another entree. When the food arrived at the table I was a little confused because the entrees are supposed to come with two sides, to which we ordered fries with the server. No fries came to the table so when another employee approached to ask how things were going, I asked for them because their menus online state it should’ve come with them. He then revealed to me that we apparently ordered two kids Mac’s, but I told him that’s not what was said but that’s what the server put in. I also commented that I am an adult, and according to their children’s menus, it’s for 12 and under, so I shouldn’t have been allowed to order a children’s entree, nor served one. I brushed it off and accepted no fries and the kids Mac’s. My husband had not bit into his burger when the employee was checking in with us. However shortly after he did, only to realize his burger was completely raw on the inside. My husband took it over to the bar to make them aware, and my husband was told that it was said he ordered it medium rare.. which was definitely not the case. My husband explained that he said it in two languages- well done!! We asked for it to be taken off the bill, we paid, packed up and left. I wouldn’t go back. The service wasn’t the best, and they weren’t slammed. My husband and I have worked years in the food industry, so we know what to expect from places when you dine out, and have a new appreciation for the people who continue to serve others in that industry. If you know you know. However- there is a point where you for sure know there’s a need for improvement, and serving raw food is definitely not ok. Nor is blaming the customer- and not taking actions for your mistakes when entering in food. Needless to say we still paid almost $100 for what we did have, but don’t feel it was deserved. My husband and I have been dealing with food poisoning ever since, and just now feel well enough to...
Read more0 It was my first time coming to this place, I happened to stumble upon it on google being I was in area and my children and I were looking for a good breakfast place. This is cute quaint spot, a little small but seems to move people in and out very quickly. They do things differently here which was a surprise to me (in a way I liked it) so when sitting down you scan a QR code which brings up a menu, you place the order and pay right from the app, individually or as a group, which I though that was cool…In a matter of minutes give or take 10-12 min (depending on how busy it is) your food is being served to you at your table. The workers are moving all over the place so there really is no connection with one specific waiter/waitress but with a simple excuse me I need assistance and they are at your side ready to assist. Again we dined in at a VERY busy time and on this specific day unfortunately they were short staffed so the owner and others did their best! Now let’s get to the food😋😋 Wow oh wow is the best way to describe things.. I purchased a omelette which came with potatoes small portion of fresh fruit and I did a side of French toast which seemed to be a hit. And boy oh boy I’m glade I did it was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G ( highly recommend). My guest ordered Sweet Chili wings which were out of this world👏🏾👏🏾 so good I ordered some to go for later.. The classic margarita pizza (individual brick oven style) was also another amazing choice. Honestly our food was Divine!! Upon looking at the people around us their food choices seemed to be as well! After finishing our meal there was no regrets coming to this hidden gem. Besides the spacing inside, and possibly having to wait a few extra minutes to get a table, (food we’ll worth the wait) left us feeling the need to definitely come back to enjoy more authentic dishes.. 8.5/10 I didn’t see where to tip on app, ( hey maybe I missed it ) but there is a tip jar at the very front cash register, in which...
Read moreI went into The Joint for the first time when they first opened. I was put off by the unwelcoming employees who didn’t greet us or offer to seat us or anything even though it was slow and didn’t end up staying.
I decided to give them another chance. Three of us walked in around 3PM on a Saturday. It was not particularly busy, but not slow. We were not greeted and went to the bar to ask if we could get a table. A rude employee waved me away and said 5-10 minutes. She eventually did seat us and rudely said if we are going to be ordering drinks she needs to see all of our IDs (which is obvious, and we understand, but she explained it to us like we are all dumb when we are all around 30, so we know how it works).
We got drinks and food without incident. Meaning she took our order and the food came, but not once did anyone check in on us or even speak a single word to us while we were placing the order. It was like she hated interacting with people.
The food: dry potato’s, bland salad dressing, bland chicken, and basic fries. Eggs Benedict was over cooked. It was not disgusting, but extremely underwhelming. The only somewhat decent thing was the Bloody Mary.
So in conclusion: service was horrendous, food was not worth eating, and the drinks were okay.
Don’t waste your time going to a place where the staff clearly doesn’t like their jobs when there are so many other great...
