Self-Service Made Simple: 📱 Ordering via an iPad at The Scoop and Scootery offers a seamless and modern way to select your sweet treat. It's efficient and lets you take your time deciding without the pressure of a queue behind you. Vibrant Vibe: 🎨🌈 Step into a visual treat with a flair of modern ice cream parlor mixed with urban chic. The decor shines with its neon signs and rustic wood elements, making it a prime spot for both casual hangouts and Instagram shots. It's easily the highlight of your visit here. Frosted Flaws: 🍨😕 While the ambiance scores big, the vegan vanilla ice cream does not. Described as tasting rather watery, it lacked the rich, creamy texture and flavor one craves in ice cream, vegan or not. The high cost for vegan options—nearly 50% more than regular flavors—didn't match the quality, which was a letdown given the promising array of toppings. A miss this time around, but with potential for redemption if the recipe improves. Enhanced Experience: 🌟🎆 Service: Streamlined and straightforward, fitting the fast-paced vibe of the city. Decor: A delightful setting that adds a splash of fun to your dessert dash. Food: The non-vegan offerings might shine, but the vegan vanilla needs a serious churn back to the drawing board. Looking Back: 🤔💭 The Scoop and Scootery offers an eclectic, visually stimulating environment perfect for dessert lovers looking for something out of the ordinary. However, the vegan options need tweaking to truly stand out. Final Verdict: 🌟🌟🌟 - "A Mixed Bag of Delights" "Perfect for a visual feast and a casual treat, but vegans beware: the vanilla might leave you cold." For a spot that nails the ambiance but might miss the mark on some flavors, The Scoop and Scootery is still a worthy visit for those in the area seeking a cool dessert experience with a dash of artistic flair. 🍦🎨

So I started out on my foodie journey after my daughters high school orientation craving and on a mission for middle eastern food quickly realizing it’s all Asian food I change my mind to ice cream and make my way here.quick service $11.00 3scoops coffee Oreo whip cream and Jimmie’s.i sit outside on red benches exhausted but excited for that first scoop.before I can even dip my spoon I was overwhelmed by stench of decomposition I look green dumpster directly in front of one of the red benches and there’s a huge rat that’s rotting COULDNT get smell off of me for least 2hours.I’m writing this because I went back in and told the young man took my order I said before you get a foodie with million followers I’d have that cleaned up he chuckled and walked away.needless too say waste of $11.00 because by time I got decomp out my nose and throat was melted and a mess.

I've ordered pickup from here before recently and was impressed by their efficient system - freezer by the door which was blocked off by a table. You order online and a friendly employee hands you your order when you arrive. Picked up, got home and enjoyed the delicious ice cream. The whipped cream was especially good. Unfortunately, the second time I picked up, it did not go as smoothly. It seemed the sundaes were not placed in the freezer after being made. The cups were all soggy with melted ice cream. This trip didn't take any longer than the first time, so the ice cream shouldn't have melted to this point. I really dislike melted ice cream, and for $20+ for this including tip, I was really sad when I opened it to find the melted mess. 2* instead of 1* because I did enjoy it the first time so maybe this was a fluke...?

There are things to be liked here, but a few easy adjustments would make for a better ice cream experience.

Customers can only make an order via mobile. I'm generally quite adept with the mobile app world, but this experience was finicky and tedious. There are just too many options to see and choose quickly, particularly if you're not familiar with the menu. Then I couldn't even use a credit card on my phone (with Apple Pay), but had to type in the numbers in the ordering system, which just added to the delay. If they don't want people ordering inside, the store should have an employee outside with an iPad and square. It would be much faster (this would include having the flavors posted outside).

The ice cream itself was good, but altogether too much toppings. Perhaps some people like eating a sundae that is made up of 1/3 candy/sauce/whatever you ordered, but it was just too much for us. Rather than pay $9-$12 for one serving, I'd rather they cut back on the toppings and make it cheaper. It was just too expensive.

Both my wife and I ordered a sundae that was to have "chocolate flakes" but got a TON of chocolate chips instead.

A small annoyance is that a number of the sundaes are listed with "Reeses Pieces" but are not Reeses Pieces at all. They are chopped peanut butter cups. I don't know if they're trying to be creative with the naming, but it just ends up being confusing. They don't have Reeses Pieces at all in the store.

Due to putting every single order in a big brown paper bag, there is a lot of needless waste. The trash barrel outside was overflowing and trash (the bags) was blowing all over. This is probably another downer caused by the insistence on ordering ahead.

Positives: We received our order pretty quickly. The ice cream itself was very good. The marshmallow fluff in my sundae was creative and very tasty (I got the Fluffington Post).

I'm not sure we'd return unless we knew prices were a bit...

This place is more than 5 stars .I wish I knew the girls name but because she made my night..honestly I just wanted a shake and I went to burger King and just because I wasn't driving a vehicle I couldn't order for that reason only which to me makes no sense it definitely doesn't make any dollars..im like can't you just enter it and just believe I'm in a vehicle and they said nope..so I was little upset, nonetheless I'm in Allston daily drive or walk by the scoop and haven't been because usually there not open yet when i go by but today after my berger King let down where I could no way "have it my way " I seen it was open and it being my first visit I didn't know how to order yet, but a lady waiting for her order kindly let me know to order online or the order tablet on the sides. I ordered noticed it said basically pay with card or phone and I had cash I asked the man working if they could and or would take cash ,he called a nice girl over and she said yes I will and then made my shake ..Once done she cutely brought over the shake and said your all set and walked away.. I know she knew I still had to pay with cash and then she came back with someone else's order and I was going to be like I have to give you the money and she says it's OK your all set hunn.. it really make my night and I'm happy now I didn't get to get berger...
