Yellow Door Taqueria - Mission Hill — Restaurant in Boston

I went to yellow door with some work friends for a friend's birthday and the experience turned out to be awful. First, the service was terrible. The drinks weren't even that strong and they took forever bringing them out. When they finally came, she brought them one at a time and kept asking us again what drink we ordered because she has really bad memory. Our, food was disgusting and took forever to come out. I ordered chicken tacos and it looked like it was thrown together with a huge pile of cheese and it was cold. I was to embarrassed to take a picture and share it on my social media. The waitress was rude and very slow with our orders. They forgot the second round of drinks and messed up some of my friends food orders. We wont be coming back to this place again. I gave this place 2 tries, both times the drinks were soooooo good!! However, the first time the food was cold and the scallop taco had one scallop on a mound of mayo..just way too saucy for me but the scallop itself was tasty. The duck taco was cold. The second time I tried a fried fish taco and a birria taco. The fried fish was fried really well but the taco had no flavor. The birria taco was completely soggy and both the taco and the sauce were so bland. The tortilla on the birria taco was not grilled at all like it’s done the traditional way which is probably why it was so soggy. The nachos…I agree with someone else who posted..pretty sure the cheese is fake it taste a little “chemically” if that makes sense..no other way to describe it just tastes fake. I will definitely be back here for drinks but will not be eating...

Overall had a good time here. I went with 3 others and we split the nachos and the patatas bravas. I ordered three tacos, each $7. I got the chili duck, mango bbq pork and carnitas tacos. The tacos overall had good flavor and were filling. The patatas bravas and nachos were also very generous with their serving size and were also filling. One unrelated note is that the bathroom sink is very small so you really have to pace yourself when you wash your hands so that it won't overflow. Love the ambience and decor of the place. Waitstaff was very nice and also helped take great pictures...
