Some weird homeless man chases us out the store Update: since my review got 100 views I'll tell you a little more about the story. Me and my friend went there because we thought they sold boba but it was just called bova. We noticed this quickly but decided to look anyways. There was already homless people outside under some stairs and the whole atmosphere felt sketch but we still went in. We walked in and went to where there's some tv's. With a menu so we stood there for like 5 minutes and it felt like 10 but nobody was helping us so we decided lets just get a drink while we search for another place to eat. And we grabed a can of mountain dew. A old homless guy saw us grab the can and we were still walking around. I guess since were teens we and we were walking around without buying anything yet it kind of looked sketchy like we are gonna steal something. But we were going to the counter and as I was walking down one of the chip aisle in the store a homless man came up to me with his arms out blocking my way saying" I got em I got em" my friend got scared and ran around so he wouldn't get touched by this weired old man but he kind of ran around to try to grab him too. I didn't want him to touch me so I was like let's just go and my friend was like yeah so we put the cans by the exit and he ran at us full speed assuming we were stealing it so we ran to the car and he grabed for the door handle so I told him to lock the door. There was a car waiting behind us to see if we were leaving so he can have the spot. I told my friend to quickly go before the old dude stood behind the car and not let us out. We were already off the parking lot and onto a red light we still saw him in the mirror chasing us. Good thing the light turned green and we got the hell out of there. In conclusion don't waist your time. Just go to cosmos pizza of you want good food with no homless man...
Read moreWhile Bova's is a Boulder classic for sure and as much as I'd like to support them, much of my experience at the new location has been disappointing relative to the old place on the Hill. Prices of the convenience items tend to be about 50% more expensive than expected, which is only made worse by the fact that no prices are shown on shelves so you won't know the price of any item until cashier rings it up. They also have a practice of closing early, so there is no guarantee the place is open for your midnight snack. The grill food is as good as expected and prices are reasonable, if not slightly high. I cannot recommend the new Bova's and would have preferred this location to remain the nasty...
Read moreBova’s is one of the best places I’ve been to so far, If you’re a Muslim and looking for quick and delicious (halal options) bova’s got you covered.
They have (halal options) which the staff can help you identify. I personally loved the Faisal Wrap it’s really good. There’s also Hummus and Falafel Warp which is also delicious and a couple more halal ones! The staff are wonderful and kind and friendly.
Bova’s is also a supermarket so if you’re looking for some main essentials to get you going for your stay then you’ll find them at Bova’s.
I came to Boulder for a summer program at the university and I pay a visit to Bova’s daily for...
