I had one of the worst experiences getting a haircut and it's made not want to get my hair cut ever again from great clips, and it's weird for me to say that after getting my hair cut with them for nearly 20 years.
I went in to this location today and I presented some pictures of how I wanted my hair to be cut, my stylist said she couldn't cut these straight lines because she didn't have a styler. Fine, I realized I could go home and do it myself with an electric razor, which I did and it turned out just like the picture. She could have used a regular electric razor that stylists use for cleaning up the neck area.
But she also said she couldn't cut my hair the style of the picture because she couldn't tell how to do it. Mind you, I showed her multiple pictures too. I've never had a hair stylist say that to me, and even if they can't cut it like that, they will work with me to get something similar. I had to tell her, ok try a different style and let's see if it works.
I was already mad because of all this, and when I went to pay I decided, I'm not tipping because I'm really not satisfied with my haircut. I signed my receipt and before I left, she told me to make sure I put in the total, implying, "Don't forget to tip me." That was the last straw, and that's why I'm reviewing this location today.
I've never had a stylist not try to work me on a haircut, say they couldn't do something that I end up doing myself, and then forcibly imply I needed to tip them even though I was already ticked off.
And because of this stylist, I will never come to this location again, nor another Great Clips, and I will make sure to tell my friends and family never to...
Read moreVery unhappy with my haircut from Sara. My friend and I went to this hair salon to donate hair. I started with longer hair than my friend but came out with 4 inches less. When the ponytails were in, it hit my mid back. After they were cut off it apparently took 6 inches to get the hair “even” and even with all that extra cutting, Sara failed to get it even. I even told Sara that cutting it further was not the answer and going to make the problem worse. Instead of getting someone else to step in and help, she kept cutting against my wishes saying she “needed to get the jagged ends”. Why would they be jagged in the first place? I talked to Mona the manager and the only thing she offered was to try to fix it. I told her I don’t want any more hair cut off, it is already half a foot too short, plus I don’t trust anyone there to fix it. Nobody stepped in when they saw Sara butchering my hair, why should I trust them to fix it after? The haircut was already free since I was donating hair but that is no excuse for a terrible haircut. Mona refused any other options for compensation and hung up on me. I am completely unsatisfied with my haircut and the customer service, I would not recommend this “Great” Clips and definitely do not trust Sara with your hair or Mona with...
Read moreTold the stylist "You're going too short" was hit with "Just trust the process" I had shown her a picture of what I wanted. This ain't it. Now all my friends and even my husband is laughing at me. I'm too anxious and nonconfrontational to say anything anything to her after that. It's just hair, sure but I wouldn't recommend this place to any guy. Unless they're looking for "That one flat frat boy cut" cause it seems the stylists don't know any other men's cuts. I say that because this is twice now this has happened. Any hope my hair had of its previous volume, chucked out the window. It's flat, dull, my husband told me I'm probably better off buzzing it all off with our clippers at home. I get that this style is popular but not everyone has the face for it. I'm lucky I can crochet and just wear a bunch of hats. But still... Not cool. I thought this was Great Clips. Not "Great but only knows one hair style for straight men in their 20s" clips. I am not a frat boy, far from it. I just wanted a simple side swoop curtain with a fade. Ended up paying 30$ for "Pablo the Hispanic frat boy with micro bangs". I look like I'm a straight dude when I'm not, look ridiculous in my button...
