Brunch at IHOP is worth looking forward to on Saturdays - especially at this location in Bowie, MD. I was delighted to see that they replaced the old worn benches with new seating benches! It looks so much better and is so much more comfortable! The Bowie location is very respectful to us when we eat here. The music selection nicely sets the ambiance of the restaurant. The food is always freshly served. All reasons why I specfically come back to the Bowie location. Suggestions: Continue the rennovation! the bathrooms - bring a elegance factor by patching holes in the walls and using a better color coordination. Also, the restaurant entrance needs new doors - the door handles look terrible. As we were eating, I could see that dropdown ceiling lamps needed cleaning because you could see the shadows of bugs in them. And finally, maintain the front of the store by cleaning the sidewalk (remove gum, trash, etc.) and replace the ragedy, chipped benches. Please use deordorizer in the front entrance and the bathrooms, because there is the funky smell of old mop when enter the restaurant. These minor adjustments will make this restaurant truly stand...
Read moreThis use to be my Favorite IHOP that I originally gave 5 STARS and suggested to everyone. But I don't know what happened, I don't know if they changed Management or what, I know the front desk and Host stand has been changed for the worst. But the last few times i've been there I could see it going down hill and this last time took the cake. Clearly the Slow Moving Man should not be a host at all. We stood in line 30 mins just to put our name on the list. Not once did this man greet us, he acted like we weren't there, continued to seat people on the list before taking Anyone's name. When the gentleman in front of me ask who was running the host's booth to take names...The Slow Moving Man replied "YOU WILL JUST HAVE TO WAIT or LEAVE!" Which is very unprofessional and shows that clearly he doesn't value customers and if that behavior continues it will probably drive away a lot of customers. Then as we ate our breakfast The Same Guy got into a argument with the Repairman and Told Him to Get Out You are calling me a liar...When the Repairman was just trying to explain the repair to Him. Thank God the Food is still good! Thumbs Up...
Read moreNothing fancy just a good place to take the kiddos for breakfast. While our server was fine, no issues with her at all, but I assume is new based on the other person. The issues are with another server that I assume is a lead or supervisor. We ordered chocolate milk for our grandchildren and our server brought over their milk and our drinks. About 10 seconds later the other server with a black IHOP tee-shirt on started saying (and not to us) that isn't a children's size chocolate milk. She said this 4 or 5 times to other staff, but made sure we heard her. She was going on about how we were going to expect that when we came back. This went on for a while. Definitely not the way a leader should handle that. She should have quietly pulled the server aside and made her aware of the mistake. The way this individual handled it was totally uncalled for. In hearing her interact with others she was very sweet and welcoming. If we go back I definitely would not want this person as my server. Our first choice to take our grandchildren will be Grumps in Crofton, or First Watch where they know how to act...
