"Our company placed an order for lunch to be delivered by 11:45 AM for a workshop we were hosting. When the food didn’t arrive on time, I called the store. A manager informed me that they were about to call me to let me know that they had a large order of 209 sandwiches, which would delay my order of 40 sandwiches. I asked why no one had reached out sooner, and the manager replied, 'I was about to call you.' By this time, it was noon, and our participants were on lunch break without food.
The order eventually arrived at 12:30 PM. Upon arrival, the first thing the manager said was, 'I told y’all not to order from our store because it’s over 30 minutes to deliver your order!' I explained that this was not an appropriate response, especially as I am the customer and they accepted my order. If they were unable to fulfill it, they should have rejected it upfront. Her response was rude and dismissive, simply saying, 'Well, now you have your order.' I then asked for the store manager’s contact information, but she refused, stating, 'We don’t give out personal information.' I clarified that I didn’t need personal details, just the store manager’s name and number. She responded, 'Call the general manager on Monday!' before handing over the food in the parking lot and leaving.
This was an incredibly unprofessional experience. If your store cannot handle certain orders or distances, that should be addressed in the system—not with rude comments to customers. We won’t be ordering from this location again, and we’ll inform our partners to do the same.
All we needed was an apology for the delay and an effort to make things right—not an argument in the...
Read moreUPDATE: I visited the location yesterday. I noticed the guy making my sandwich had to keep pulling up his neck/mask. The lady who finished mask was below her nose. The cashier who made my shake didn't have a mask at all. I'm done with this location.
Hello,
I'm a frequent visitor of your Bowie store. It's too many young people there & no Sr. Person.
I always get the same thing. Lately, the shakes haven't been as good. Since the whipped cream & cherry was taken away, I really need a good tasting shake. I started asking for extra strawberries. Last visit, a young guy made me wait for my shake to be poured & took the lady behind me. Today, I explained what happened & wanted another shake maker. They gave me the runaround & said it'll be a wait because the strawberries were frozen. It wasn't & that doesn't make sense. Lady said she'd make it but still had him making it with her.
In the future, I'll get them from Five...
Read moreThis might be the worst location of Potbelly in terms of service. While it is fresh and new inside having opened less than a year ago the staff compared to busier stores in other locations is slow as molasses. Once I was in here and the only available staff member was moping the floor while ignoring me. Additionally in the evenings they have at times inexplicably not being able to make milkshakes. The dining area is also a bit awakward and often is overly bright with sunlight in the evenings. The food is the same as all locations and they staff aren't undfriendly but it's not a go to...
