It’s very rare that I take the time to write a review, but after tonight’s experience, I felt it was absolutely necessary. My family and I dined at the Red Robin in Bowie, MD, and while our waitress, Diamond, was outstanding—courteous, attentive, and professional—the same cannot be said for the manager on duty, Blanca. Toward the end of our meal, my daughter discovered a hair in her food. We weren’t sure whether it came from her or from the kitchen, so we calmly brought it to Diamond’s attention. She immediately went to get the manager, which I appreciated. However, what happened next was unacceptable. When Blanca approached our table, her immediate response was defensive and dismissive. Without any inspection or apology, she stated that the hair could not have come from the kitchen because, in her words, “there are all men in the kitchen.” She then turned her back on us and told our waitress that we would not be getting any compensation or adjustment to our bill. My husband and I were stunned—not because of the situation with the food, but because of Blanca’s complete lack of professionalism, empathy, or basic customer service. We made it clear that we would still pay for our meal, but her attitude and disregard for our concern were unacceptable. As we were leaving, I saw Blanca outside speaking with two other managers, Claudia and another whose name I didn’t catch. I confronted her about her behavior, expressing how unprofessional and disrespectful her actions were. Even then, she showed no concern or remorse and continued with the same dismissive attitude. The other two managers stepped in, apologized on her behalf, and offered complimentary meals, which I declined. By that point, the damage was done. This experience was hands down one of the worst displays of management I have ever witnessed at any Red Robin location. It’s clear that Blanca is in desperate need of training—not only in customer service but also in professionalism and leadership. Red Robin, if you value your customers, please take this incident seriously and ensure that your management staff reflects the company’s supposed commitment to hospitality...
Read moreI recently had dinner at the Red Robin I sat at the bar, usually I din on the main floor when I'm with my family, but I came by myself for dinner so I chose the bar. As I reviewed the menu and decided on what burger to order, I simply asked the bartender where would be an easier place to sit and place my order, she gave me an unapproachable stare and her tone of voice wasn't friendly, so I decided to sit at the bar since I thought I'll get quicker service and it'llbe easier for one of the bartenders to acknowledge me. I was given a drink menu but never greeted, when my burger came out 3 minutes within eating the burger I was never asked " how's everything", or if I needed any condiments with my burger. I was hungry so I devoured the burger quickly and wanted to order another drink, but their was no bartender on sight for me to place another drink order. The dinning experience for me was confusing I believe one of the bartenders was a manager, yet her demeanor and work ethic was horrible. I really loved dinning at Red Robin with my family, but when I dined alone at the bar it was a horrible experience and very disturbing to witness and...
Read moreI had a very disappointing experience at your restaurant. The chicken tenders I received were overcooked, and when I brought this to the attention of the manager on duty, she stated that she did not have the authority to replace them. I then requested a full refund of my order, as the food was not edible and could not be replaced which meant one family member would not have a meal.
Unfortunately, I was made to wait 35 minutes for the refund, despite the restaurant being nearly empty. The manager claimed she was "too busy" and would handle it later. It felt as though the delay was intentional—retaliatory and unprofessional behavior that reflected a lack of basic customer service standards.
Ultimately, I did receive the refund, but only after an unnecessary and frustrating delay. I left with the clear impression that this location lacks both adequate management oversight and respect for its patrons. I will be advising others in the community, to avoid this restaurant. There are several other options in the same shopping center with comparable menus and far better service and...
