Looks like I will be adding to the growing list of not so glowing reviews. We walked in around 9:30 am ( not busy!!!) no greeting no acknowledgment etc Young lady cleaning tables looked up and looked around for someone else to seat us. She did come over and I requested one of the larger booths for the 3 of us because we are all over 6’ tall. She had to go find someone to tell her it was okay to seat us there instead of everyone being piled into one small cluster of booths. That is their mode of operation or it seems that way each time we have stopped here for breakfast ( probably 8 times in the last 3 years) You could tell she was visibly frightened to seat us anywhere else besides the section of booths right by the kitchen door. Waitress arrived timely enough but greeting could have been friendlier. Drinks were served and refilled once. 3 orders placed and she had to come back because didn’t ask how eggs cooked on one order, no biggie because we didn’t say it either. We wait and we wait and we wait, and after other tables around us that had come in after us were served I finally got her attention and asked if it will be much longer. Immediate response “ our system crashed, snarky “do you want to talk with manager, but don’t worry your order has been placed. “ We replied no about speaking with manager because it wouldn’t change the situation. I wish I had spoken with the manager and suggested that customers are usually more understanding about delays etc IF they are kept informed about what is happening. Food finally arrives and my son’s pancake combo platter is noticeably empty like something was missing. After our waitress walked away we realized it was the hash browns not on the platter. I got her attention and asked if the combo indeed came with hash browns and she says yes I don’t know why they didn’t include them. She came back quickly with hash browns and said she had pulled the plate before the cook finished plating. Our food was not as warm as it could have been. But we were already running so far behind and hungry so we just let it go. After the hash browns were delivered we Never saw her again. We finished eating and kept waiting for the check. We waited and waited until my husband went to the front and asked for someone to please find our waitress we needed our check because we Had to get back on the road Waitress brings our check quickly tosses it on the table edge and keeps walking. No communication at all!! The overall experience was frustrating. The servers do not seem happy, the restaurant was shabby ( booths lumpy seats, front counter and area behind it was cluttered the restroom was dinghy and could have been cleaner, the handicapped stall in women’s restroom Still has a improvised temporary latch that is difficult to fasten I can’t imagine how someone with limited dexterity could ever operate it, etc) Something has definitely changed here recently. We ate here 3 months ago and it was fine ( other than the habit of seating everyone in a small clustered area) We ate here again on the weekend of February 14th and it was less than stellar and we were like this isn’t like them. Read more12/25/2018 I placed an online order at 5:48pm, to be ready at 6:15pm. I arrived at 6pm, not expecting my order to be ready but to let them know I was there. At 6:15 I went back to the counter to inquire on my order. When I showed the lady my online order, she said, oh that's an online order,(which worried me), she went to check and came back and said it would be a few moments. At 6:30, I went and inquired again on my order, which was still not up so I asked her to cancel it. She went in the kitchen and I heard her ask if the online order was up. She came back at 6:39, told me she would have to look my receipt up to refund my money. I asked her to do it then so I would have the refund receipt. She said she could not do it right then because I canceled my order?? She also told me my order was up. I dont believe her, because as a previous food service worker, she would've brought it out and offered it instead of the refund. I asked to speak to a manager as I have never heard of not being able to refund a customers money, especially when the restaurant fell short, she said she was the manager. She also tried to justify not providing refund because they were so busy, which they were, which is why I ordered a burger and fries online to pickup, so that I would be able to get in and out and because I knew they would be busy. There is no professional justification for not receiving my order, and for not refunding MY order on spot, after waiting almost an hour. Again, the wait would have been fine had I arrived with family and waited to sit. However, I am at a hotel, with not a lot of restaurants open today, again which is why I ordered ahead of time. They sat 12 families after me, once I started counting, so you know it was more. I cannot believe she tried to put blame on me, by steadily repeating, well ma'am we are really busy, like I wasn't being understanding that they were busy. Apparently her customers that were waiting were more important than myself who waited more than 45 minutes for an online order, which is why I couldn't receive a refund. Christmas fail IHOP!!!! I went across the street and ate a hot dog and chips because I was about to fall out in IHOP from not eating. I usually dont complain this much but the disregard was very aggravating, not to mention not getting the charge off my card. This manager needs more training!! 12/26/2018 I called on Wednesday, the day after Christmas, to inquire if my refund had been returned and was told I would need to call back the next day. 12/27/2018 I called on Thursday and had to provide the last 4 digits of my card, the expiration date, and my name. The manager asked for my callback number so that she could follow up. I received a call from the manager, in the late afternoon, who said the charge should be reversed within a couple of hours so I will check again tomorrow. She also offered the FIRST apology, which unfortunately was a little too late. 12/28/2018 I checked my account this morning, this charge is no longer pending. It has actually posted. Wth? I'll give it till the Jan 2nd which is 3 business days, if it is still posted-Next call will be to Corporate. Ridiculous! 1/2/2019 Charge reversed. No food, 8 days later...
Read moreOne of the absolute worst dining experiences I have ever had to suffer through. My group of 8 went to eat Jan 2 at 830 and were the only customers.When we get in the manager said they were basically shut down because they didn't expect anyone to come in (they still had an hour and a half left before closing) but proceeded to seat us anyways. When the waitress came to our table she looked so spaced out and didn't greet us or anything. Almost seemed bothered she had to wait on us. She got our drink and was kind enough to make some pots of coffee since we all wanted some. Then she came to take our order. As she was taking it she seemed to forget what we were telling her as we were ordering. After she put our order in it took about 20 to 25 minutes for our food. Normally that's not an issue if the food comes out delicious and fresh. That was not the case. My burger was room temp and my onion rings were soaked in grease and cold. My wife's French toast seemed like they made it first and let it sit out and it was so cold the butter wouldn't even melt. My friend ordered a simple omelet with hashbrowns. The omelet came but no hashbrowns. It wasn't until after he finished his omelet his hashbrowns came out..at least the were hot. My sister ordered a burger with fries and they were cold. We did ask for a new batch of fries for her and they did cook them up so that was nice. The bathrooms smelled absolutely disgusting and there was no toilet paper, just a stack of very thin napkins. Then come the checks. Talk about unprofessional service. Never do you ask cash paying customers if they want their change back. We were all put on the spot and it was very uncomfortable. It seemed like she thought she knew her service was not tip worthy so she was trying to get what she could by backing us into a corner where if we said yes we would look like you know whats.
