Stopped to get lunch for the kids and myself. It was lunchtime on a Saturday so they were busy. Long line in drive thru. When it was time to order I apparently made the mistake of asking a question about 1 of their family meals. She asked me twice which one 3 times I told her which one and even read it to her. She says "Lord what's this woman talking about" then says "is that what you want"? At that point I just say Yes. She says $27 something just pull around. I said thank you. Get to the window and it's an older lady and she just turns and walks away. Says something to a young boy who stepped to the window looking confused and said just a moment. She finally comes back and I'm holding $30 out to her but she shoves my 2 bags of food at me and starts to walk away. Good thing I'm honest. I yell excuse me and she then sees the money. She opens the window and says "Well you haven't even paid yet", like it was my fault. I then ask for mustard packs, I get "in the bag" and walks away. I got 5 ketchups. I worked in fast food and the drive thru for several years and you don't treat your customers that way. She was so rude and hateful that I did something I've never done, I called the store manager to let him know. His name was Nick. I told him short version of what just happened and when I worked with the public, The customer is always right! Well I don't know if that's not how it is these days or if it's just not White Castle's policy because he said that he was sure that she didn't mean it that way and asked if she apologized. I said no she did not so he deeply apologized for the miscommunication. What miscommunication?? I was really surprised that he really didn't care. I will say that earlier in the week on Wednesday the 29th I stopped by and grabbed sliders on the way home and it was nothing like today. A guy was working the window and he was smiling and polite. I still recommend the food but beware of...
Read moreI almost never leave a negative review, but this place is ridiculous. We have ordered online twice. We live an hour away. The first time we ordered they did not have our order ready when we arrived. They made us come in and wait for it to be made because they wanted to "make it fresh for the customer." Well, if the customer had wanted to walk in and wait, they would not have ordered on line. Today, we ordered almost two hours ahead because we were in a time crunch. When we got to the restaurant the drive through was backed up completely around the building. We called the restaurant and told them we had an online order. They said we could not come into the dining room to pick up because the dining room was closed due to a staffing shortage. We understood. We asked if there was a place we could park and have them bring it out without waiting in the long drive through. Nope. They couldn't walk it out. They were short staffed. Sigh. All right. So then we asked if, since we were actively waiting in the long drive through line, they would go ahead and START our order? Nope. They like to make it "fresh for the customer" Ok. But we are HERE. We are in the line. They actually said we had to pull around and say our name into the speaker before they would start preparing our order! How is that any different than ordering through the drive through regularly? It took us 25 minutes to get the food we ordered on line two hours earlier so that we could save time. Staffing shortages happen, and they are not necessarily the fault of the establishment. However, if a business can't honor its on line orders in a timely manner, maybe it just shouldn't offer that service. The lady at the window was friendly, and that earned a second star. We love White Castle, but their on line...
Read moreMy experience was great at first driving an hour away just to get some white castle arrived was greeted with a smile by I believe the manager Nick who was awesome. Once he finished taking my order then it got bumpy. My order was number 420 at 4-4:30pm on 7-1-22 and the cook was jamming with her music on with her speaker box touching her phone with her gloves and then making my food. So I grabbed Nick and informed him that I did not want any of that food she was making because of this issue and she was mad and stormed off for about 5mins laughing and going back and forth saying she only did this and that. Once she walked off from a breather she came back looking at me rolling her eyes and laughing with another coworker about what just happen, changed her gloves then pulled out and touched all over the trash can then started making food. So now I had to say something again. So I say ma'am you just touched the trash I don't want that food either and she yelled and said this is not your food. I said yes it is I'm 420 and If it wasnt my food I still wouldn't want you making someone else food after you touched the trash can that's not sanitary. She walked off again and Nick came and prepared my food. People do not care about others no more. You can tell it was normal for her. I work to hard for my money to let you risk me getting sick. WHITE CASTLE TRAIN YOUR CREW IN FOOD SAFETY to prevent your customers from getting sick and in customers service. If she dont have customer service skills then she dont need to be there. She was very rude with a lobby full...
