We were coming back home from a birthday party and we love stopping in at Rooster's in BG to eat. The wait is always minimal, staff and food are always great. Tonight was another story. The wait was fine, we dealt with it. Once we got sat at our table our waitress (Maddison T) was a complete airhead. She brought me a sweet tea that I ordered but it had an inch of sugar at the bottom of the cup and something floating in it. After 20 minutes and asking again, she finally brought me another tea. It then took another 20 minutes for us to order our food. She proceeded to write it on a receipt paper and it was complete chicken scratch so I knew something would be wrong. I asked for napkins too at this point. We have 2 kids and needed them even with just drinks. 15 to 20 minutes goes by and she comes to the table and apologizes and said she wadded our food order up in her apron and had just placed our order.... but begged her manager to put ours first because we'd been waiting awhile. 10 minutes passes and she comes back and recited the same thing she said before and keep profusely apologizing, to the point that it was annoying and I was aggravated. Meanwhile 3 other tables food came out at this point. When our food comes my husband only got half of his order of grilled tenders, we didn't get our dumpster tots, our kids side orders were wrong and we still didn't have napkins. She goes back to get our dumpster tots and our 4 year old spills a little of his drink on him, I get up and get some of the drink napkins. She comes out with the dumpster tots and then goes to get us napkins. She did end up getting my husband his full order of tenders, and the kids their right side orders. When we got the receipt, we found out that everything was wrong from the kitchen because she rang it all in wrong. I was not impressed. She completely ruined our dinner. What should've taken us 45 minutes to an hour max, took us 2.5 hours. We had cranky kids who needed to go to sleep and wanted their bellies full and she walked around like she had her head up in the clouds and didn't know what she was doing. It will be a LONG time before we consider Rooster's...
Read moreFirst and last time ever eating at Roosterâs. We travelled here from Georgia on vacation and decided to have roosterâs for dinner because we wanted wings. My boyfriend and I both ordered traditional wings, mine with Medium sauce and his with Medium+Garlic. It took a while for it to come out but I chalked it up to a semi-busy inside. When they did come out, I was initially shocked that they serve the whole wing, not just the flats. This impressed me until I took a bite. The sauce, instead of being a typical creamy sauce to coat your wings entirely, is straight OIL. Barely any flavor to it and incredibly greasy. My boyfriendâs was the same. The bottom of our trays was just a puddle of oil with the bottom layer of wings just soaking in it. Definitely the greasiest, tasteless food Iâve ever eaten. And how you mess up wings that bad, Iâm not sure. Weâre from the south (as stated, Georgia) so weâre no strangers to fried food but this was too much, even for us. Iâve also never been to a decent wing joint that charges extra for sauce, ranch, bleu cheese, or celery on the side. So that shouldâve been our sign from the beginning. The fried mushrooms were alright, and the side salad was mediocre. Once again, the dressing I got (golden Italian) was 80% oil. I understand that salad dressing is a mixture of oil and vinegar. But this was no mixture. It was just oil. Had to ask our waitress 3 times for extra napkins as weâre both sitting there with our hands up because we had 1 napkin to share after we had to stop eating our nasty wings. She was too busy making small talk at the bar to check on us after bringing us our orders, or to bring us the check or boxes for us to politely throw our food away somewhere else. We eventually left, ended up throwing the rest of our wings away because with how we were feeling afterward thereâs no way weâd put ourselves through that a second time. Stopped before we got to the AirBnB (20 minutes away) to get Pepto Bismol to help nurse our stomachs back to health. It was a long and...
Read moreShout out to the manager on duty at Roosters Wings in Bowling Green, KY!!
I travel for work and was just diagnosed with Alpha-Gal Syndrome 2 1/2 weeks ago. If you donât know what that is, I highly encourage you to look it upâŠbecause itâs spreading fast!Eating on the road is challenging, to say the least.
I called ahead of time and asked to speak to the manager. Not only was she accommodating, she showed deep concern and a desire to understand! She even suggested that I sit outside on their patio and place my order with the manager when I come in.
Iâd already been looking at their allergen menu online and we talked through several of options that may work. She even informed me that all their seafood has a designated frier. She made it very clear they would take EVERY precaution.
Upon my arrival, yallâŠthis woman came and sat next to me at the patio bar with a three-ring binder containing their allergen menu.đł
We talked through things once more and she helped me pick out my dinner. I was craving tater tots, which are typically cooked in their non-seafood fryer. I asked if they could put them on the foil-covered grill with my chicken fingers and turkey burger. She offered a better solution of baking them in their pizza oven. Dude!
Whatâs not pictured here is the fried shrimp appetizer I had, which was probably my most favorite of all I enjoyed here tonight.
All-in-all, it was an incredible experience. Easily THE most accommodating restaurant Iâve come across on this new road im navigating. If you havenât given Roosterâs...
