My husband and I ordered a 2lb lobster dinner as takeout last Thursday. We had done this several times since COVID, and had been very pleased with the food This time I placed the order with Liz, the manager , and we drove 40 minutes each way to pick up the meal. We were extremely disappointed when we opened the container with the lobster. There was not a drop of water in the container, the lobster was room temperature, though all the sides were still warm, the claw meat was extremely dry and the tail was inedible, tough and dry. The lobster had obviously been cooked a while ago and though not spoiled, was too tough to chew. When I called back and spoke to Liz, she was adamant that the lobster was freshly cooked, had cameras to prove that, and informed me that the best she could do is offer me a discount on our next order. After losing $70 (meal+tip) and being treated so poorly by the manager, I was truly surprised that Liz would even think that there would be a next time!
Regarding your response below, I wish I had read the following post in Yelp: Review on May 4, 2022 by H.S. New York, NY We have been doing take out 3 lb lobsters for a year or 2 for my birthday and our anniversary. Always delicious as you can see by my prior reviews. Not this time! We got 2 Overcooked 3lb lobsters. Double cole slaw instead of some rice as requested. The NE clam chowder was not up to their usual standards and it went into the garbage, they also charge extra for clam chowder . We called to complain and they said "they would take care of us next time" I don't even know what that means.
I sent a message to someone who may be a boss or owner and he made me feel like I did wrong LOL
He states they don't recommend lobster takeout because they dont travel well and won't allow it anymore.

When Mel returned home and realized her mistake, Mel contacted the restaurant. Without a blink of an eye, Miss Madison insisted on returning the money to Mel. Kudos, Miss Madison!!!
In my opinion, Miss Madison is the quintessential, customer-service professional and should be a role model for all other custom-service representatives.

Read moreI was very disappointed in Captain's catch this was my wife favorite restaurant I proposed to her in this restaurant on every anniversary we would celebrate there my wife favorite meal is the lobster.We have not been here for a year because my wife had a liver transplant and was very sick this was her first meal she wanted since I transplant unfortunately my wife weight went from 135 to 90 lbs and I was trying desperately to help her gain weight what ever she wants. We noticed a coupon for early bird we never used it before so we said let's try we told the waitress Amy about the early bird and said this add says 9.95 all meals she told us it was a smaller menu we did not care but she gives us an attitude about the time we waited half hour and told the hostess please make sure we get early bird well it was 633 pm when we sat down long story short wife was upset could not eat so she ordered new England Clam chowder which is usually amazing but it had no flavor was terrible we told the hostess and she told the waitress nothing was done about it not even I am so sorry can I get you another soup it is not the money it was what my wife wanted I don't care if it is 100.00 that's what she wanted .We left payed the bill and will...
