This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had ordering from a pizza place in my life.
It started with the delivery. The Uber Eats driver didn’t bother to ring the doorbell or notify me in any way. Instead, they simply placed the pizza on the floor outside my door and drove off. My Ring camera captured the entire incident. To make matters worse, the pizza box wasn’t sealed or placed in a bag, leaving it exposed to dirt, bacteria, and potential tampering.
When I picked up the box from the ground, I immediately noticed it was crumpled and torn, as though something heavy had been placed on it. Inside, the pizza was smashed and completely inedible. I have no idea what happened to it between the restaurant and my house, but the condition it arrived in was unacceptable.
The real frustration began when I saw what I received. I had ordered a regular Margherita pizza, but instead, I got a pizza covered in capers and onions—ingredients that weren’t listed in the description. My daughter is allergic to capers, so this pizza wasn’t just disappointing, it was dangerous for my family.
Hoping to resolve the issue, I called the restaurant. I explained the situation and made it clear I wasn’t asking for a refund; I just wanted a replacement pizza. No one in my home could eat what they had sent, and I was even willing to settle for a plain cheese pizza, which costs far less than what I originally paid.
The person on the phone, however, was completely dismissive. They brushed off my concerns about my daughter’s food allergy and told me they couldn’t help because they were closing soon. I then asked if they could deliver a replacement pizza the next day, considering my order was over $30. They flat-out refused and told me I would need to take it up with Uber Eats instead.
For a restaurant with decent ratings, I was shocked by their lack of customer service and disregard for food safety. From the unsealed pizza box to their refusal to help, the entire experience was appalling.
This is the last time I will ever order from this restaurant. I have photos and videos documenting everything, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Save yourself the frustration and order from...
Read moreI'll agree that most problems here are service related, but to me that's just as important as the food. Previous visits we have been seated outside (as requested) only to be ignored with no service for up to 15 minutes with no server. Other times we were served but ignored for very long stretches, having to get up and ask for things. This time, I had 2 friends with me who traveled a considerable distance to meet me here for dinner. We sat inside. The restaurant was not busy. Open tables inside, and no one outside. A girl took our drink and dinner orders. Drinks arrived (2 beers, and sparkling water). 10 minutes later our main courses are in our face. No salads, no soup I ordered. Staff just stood there. They offered to bring dinner back in (what, to sit on a shelf or under a heat lamp?) no thanks. We opted to eat dinner while it was hot. We were disappointed to say the least at not having the leisurely dining experience we had hoped for. The salads got boxed (but who really wants take home salad), and I never had my soup. The young girl serving us offered us a glass of wine, I guess to apologize. One problem...NOBODY was drinking wine! During dinner my guest had 1 more beer, and after dinner, 2 out of 3 of us had cappuccino. Never did a manager or anyone else come over, and when we got the bill..."full freight". Didn't even offer up "one" of the beers, or anything else. They seem perfectly unapologetic here, almost in a daze when it comes to service. Can't quite explain it. I've dealt with it in the past because the food is descent, but to me, a $100 dinner (and my guests generously treated me) should not leave you frustrated. I was very embarrassed at suggesting Dominic's to my friends. It's...
Read moreI sent the below email to Dominics in hopes of them rectifying my poor experience, but after no response, I feel I must post this publicly for all to see their poor customer service, and lack of care about their customers.
I have been a customer of Dominic’s since moving to Boynton 8 years ago, and last night I had a very displeasing occurrence. I placed my order at 5:25 and was told that delivery would be 1 hour. I called back at 6:35 and was told my order had just been put in at 6:18, which I did not understand since my credit card was charged as I hung up the phone. I then got a call back saying they made a mistake and my order was coming out of the oven right then and would be leaving with the delivery driver.
I then called back at 6:55 because I still had not received my order and the gentleman explained to me that my order had left 10 minutes ago and the delivery driver was told to come to me first. I did not get my order until 7:05 (which means if it did in fact leave 10 minutes ago, that means it took the delivery driver 20 minutes to get to my house). I live 1.5 miles, 6 minutes away according to both Waze and Google Maps.
The gentleman explained to me that they made the pizzas based on when the deliveries would go out so that we would still get our food hot. So to add insult to injury, When I received my pizza, it was barely even lukewarm.
It really appears that my order got “forgotten.” Paying $26 for a sub par pizza is very disappointing since I have always raved to everyone about how great Dominic’s IV is,...
