I promise what you see in the picture is what I received; the tag has not been moved to a different wrapper, but the ticket still speaks for itself. It would appear it took 2 people to mess up my order this evening. The first person actually rung up a cheeseburger with the alteration of no cheese (which most people would call a hamburger at a cheaper cost). Somehow I guess I missed it on the screen, so I'll take that part of it, but it seems like if the person was paying attention, he or she would have either questioned what I was ordering, or would have rung it up as a hamburger. But then there is the second person wrapping an official hamburger in a cheeseburger wrapper-- the other person who could have raised the question to ask if the right thing is being done. Please don't misunderstand me. I understand the fast food industry. I've worked there myself and I understand the pressures and the pace. Some may say that I expect too much of someone in this type of position. If that's true, then it is a sad statement of how someone in a service position views his or her job. If one person reads this and makes it a point to empower his or her team members (whether at McDonald's or somewhere else) to be able to ask questions in the name of ensuring the right thing is done, then this review will be worth the time spent writing it. If one person reads it and takes it upon his or herself to strive to be more than an automaton, then I've done my job. This isn't about 60 cents. It's about valuing oneself and the customers he or she has signed...
Read moreI’ve been to this location many times with great service, today did not match that experience. First off we were given only our drink and then Jorge closed the window without giving us any food from the order. We then sat there until he opened the window back up and we said we had ordered food. He then flippantly told us that it was after 10:30 so we would have to switch to a burger or something else despite the order being placed at 10:25 (which is within breakfast hours and has been done many times at this location successfully). We then said that we wanted a refund as we were not given the food we ordered and he said we would have to do it on the app. We said that we didn’t know how to do it on the app which he seemed frustrated by but we then gave him our phone to help and he couldn’t do it either:) we eventually got the refund in the traditional way and they shorted us a dollar by not refunding our hash brown so we had to go back in to the store yet again. Overall I understand that food can be unavailable and it’s not a big deal, but Jorge’s attitude was nothing but rude. A simple apology or just basic manners would have made this into a non issue. I will say the rest of the employees that helped us were...
Read moreDisappointed. I'm a frequent customer of McDonald's, probably too much so, but not this one.
After a movie, I pulled into a curbside pickup spot for a quick bite before heading 40 miles home. Placed an order using the app. Chose "I'm here" in the app so the order would be prepared and brought out. The app came back with a notification that curbside was unavailable.
Ok, no problem, just walk in. Yeah, NO! Still before lobby closing time and the doors are locked. Alright, pull around to the drive through. Two long lines of cars for one window.
It was 20 minutes from the time I said to start the order until I had it in my hands. It was not only cold, but they got the order wrong!
Fed it to the trash can. Wasted time and money. It's a McDonald's, not expecting white linens and gourmet food, but it's a McDonald's, expect reliability and consistency.
Why bother with the app? If I had just gone through the drive through to begin with, the food would have at least been hot and fresh, even if it was still wrong. And closing before posted hours and still having the app allow you to specify "in store pickup" while shutting down curbside? Not worth it. Too many other options in Bozeman to bother with...
