Super 8 by Wyndham Bourbonnais/Kankakee Area — Hotel in Bradley

Absolutely one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. Entered the building and it immediately stank of weed/cigarettes, was told to make sure we "didn't smoke in our room" since it was a non-smoking room. Entered the room and it immediately smelt like no one has ever listened. The whole room was gross, the floors looked like they get vacuumed Maybe once a month, the bathroom was in a similar state. The sheets and covers were absolutely gross, covered in stains that looked like bodily fluids, junk under the covers, etc. Immediately went back to the front desk and requested a refund as there was no way we were staying there. (We had some friends staying in other rooms and there's were just as bad if not worse) Even though we checked in using Wyndhams own site we were told we weren't able to get a refund. Got there and they said there was no rooms available for early checkin, which is fair but it didn’t seem like there was much of any people there. Maybe 4 cars in the parking lot. My room was on the second floor with no elevator. There was an older black lady in her 60’s who was so sweet and communicative with me unlike the front desk man who seemed annoyed. The room was horrid, looked like it hadn’t had a deep clean in a long time. Grime in the crevices, surfaces all filthy. I was warned not to turn off my tv because it probably wouldn’t come back on. My sheets had orange-ish red stains that resembled cleaned up blood. The fitted sheet and mattress pad kept slipping off of the bed. The mattress kept moving off of the box spring. Worst of all I tried to get some sleep and felt something bite my leg that woke me up. I’m pretty sure it was a bed bug. I’d give it 1 star but the housekeeper...

The hotel is in a good area however it is far behind on repairs and maintenance. The hotel itself had terrible lighting inside and out, poor front desk service, and was grungy. The room had no additional deadbolt and was poorly cleaned. The carpet and bedding had stains on it. Two of the outlets were in disrepair and would not have passed a fire marshal inspection. The mini fridge compressor was loud and the back coil was ran excessively hot. The towel rack had been broken several times and poorly put back into place. The shower drain had to be completely pulled out for the water to drain. Had the price been significantly less than competitors, it may justify to stay in this terrible hotel. However this particular night the price was only $26 less than the competitor. Not worth the savings. Save your money and time on this one. It needs...
