Had a great experience from beginning to end. I showed up and had some issues with Priceline not informing me of deposits needed. Shannon and the owner were SO kind and accommodating. They were extremely helpful and made the whole stressful experience much better. Not only did they help me, but they were super accommodating due to my job as a DJ, They helped me get a room on the first floor due to all my equipment that i needed to load in and out. They were very informative. Very polite and professional and warm and friendly.

The price was right. The location was good and convenient. My only small hangup was a slight miscommunication i believe between the awesome owner/the front desk staff and the housekeeping. The owner and Shannon very awesomely offered me a late check out but i was woken up by the housekeepers and when i explained that the owner himself had said i could have a late checkout she gave me a funny look and kind of argued the fact that i had requested a late check in rather than apologizing for her mistake and for waking me up.

Aside from that small hiccup i had a great experience and would definitely stay again.

Rooms : CLEAN AND STOCKED BEDS : COMFORTABLE LINENS: CLEAN TV: LARGE AND HIGH DEF AMENITIES: GREAT PANTRY, BAR, AND EVEN GAMBLING OPTIONS.

SUGGESTIONS : MORE THOROUGH COMMUNICATION BETWEEN FRONT DESK AND HOUSEKEEPING STAFF , ALSO CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING FOR HOUSEKEEPING (NOONE LIKES BEING RUDELY WOKEN UP AND ARGUED...

I recently stayed at the Red Roof Inn in Bourbonnais on Route 50, and overall, it was a solid experience. The staff was friendly and professional, making check-in and check-out smooth. The room was clean and comfortable, which I appreciated. However, there were a couple of things that stood out to me.

First, the water pressure was pretty low, which made showers less enjoyable. If that could be improved, it would make a big difference. Second, the $50 deposit policy felt a bit unnecessary, especially since many other hotels don’t require this. I understand the reasoning behind it, but maybe there’s a better approach.

For example, if the concern is damages or smoking in the rooms, why not charge violators directly instead of requiring every guest to pay a deposit? Another idea could be implementing a system where repeat offenders get temporarily banned—say, a one-month suspension for smoking violations. This would protect both the hotel and guests who follow the rules.

I have plenty of ideas that could benefit both the staff and customers, making the experience better for everyone while ensuring the hotel maximizes its potential. If management is interested in discussing ways to improve operations, I’d love to connect. That being said, great job to the staff—keep up...

The room was okay I didn’t spend much time there and got in pretty late both nights I was there after being with my elderly mom all day. The bed was spacious and comfy. The room had a microwave and fridge. I never used the microwave but I kept water in the fridge. The attendees who worked there were professional and polite. The location is great. It’s right off the highway and close to a lot of restaurants. The price was also very affordable.

There were small things I noticed. There was hair in the shower near the shower head, on the wall in the shower and on the shower curtain. There was also something splashed on the headboard of the bed. It looked like soda or juice. The drain of the sink was slow at going down so water easily built up as I brushed my teeth, washed my face and hands. The water didn’t get very hot in the shower but it was a little hot. Once I switched it over to the shower head it went cold. I turned the water all the way to the hottest setting and it stayed cold. Two of the pillows had stains on the pillow cases. The towel in the bathroom that was supposed to be the towel used to stand on when you get out of the shower also had stains on it.

I did inform the staff upon leaving of the stained pillow cases and the hot...

I don’t understand why people give this place such high ratings! We chose it because of the good score, but the reality is completely different! This is the worst hotel experience of my life. I wasn’t expecting top-notch service for $90 — I just wanted a place to rest after a long trip. But it was impossible to relax here. The rooms reek of dampness. They are advertised as non-smoking, yet people smoke right outside, toss their cigarette butts nearby, and the smoke gets into other guests’ rooms. The windows face the parking lot, so you have to keep the curtains closed at all times just to have a little privacy. Not that it helps much — headlights and streetlights still shine through. The bathroom had someone else’s hair, crumpled paper on the floor, no shower gel, and a burnt blanket. The fridge doesn’t cool, the floor is dirty. The walls are paper-thin — when our baby cried, someone banged on the wall. And even though we booked with a baby, it was just a regular room with a $20 surcharge. This was simply the worst experience.

Although I didn't step foot inside the hotel, I did stop by to scope out the property for an upcoming two-week stay for someone arriving from overseas. Unfortunately, my initial impressions were not favorable. The building's exterior didn't quite match the photos I'd seen. The design and layout, reminiscent of a 1950s-style motel, was more rustic than I had anticipated. The parking lot was filled with box trucks and vehicles in disrepair, which added to my initial unease. The stairwells and balconies appeared worn and rusty, which only solidified my concerns. Ultimately, I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a higher-end experience.

I was really surprised as how nice the rooms were here. You can tell it was pretty newly renovated. Rooms are small but it was very clean. Staff was friendly and I didn't have any of the regular "motel issues", ie. drug activity, fights in the rooms next door, etc. Besides that, the lighting in the parking lot was as bright as the noon day sun! They lose a star because I feel like it was over priced for what it was. Would I stay again? Yes. Will I be looking for every discount and coupon available? Absolutely!
