I do not understand how this hospital has such bad reviews. I went to the ER and was treated with amazing respect and kindness. From the receptionist to the tech to the nurse to the doctor and even a nurse that I got her attention because I didn't quite know what to do at that time while the tech was getting some stuff everyone was super sweet they were amazing and I would highly recommend this hospital to anybody. All of the emergency room staff was absolutely amazing and them alone makes this a five out of five stars! My tests got done honestly quicker than what they projected. They were constantly checking in on me to make sure I was okay. The staff that I worked with during my time there all had good sense of humor which is a huge plus for me because they were smiling and laughing and it made me feel better because for me seeing a happy staff makes me feel good. After my emergency room visit the next day I was set up with an appointment with a female health physician. the one I originally was set up an appointment with I didn't necessarily like but I think it's just cuz of our personality differences but I then got to work with Miss Woods in the female health area. She was absolutely amazing! she had a great personality she listened to me she didn't low-key accuse me of lying about my pain. well yes the original doctor that I was supposed to see did push to get me into a room so that I could be there for pain monitor until my surgery the next morning she really put the icing on the cake for my visit. The room I got while yes it was technically small it was very clean. Nothing was damaged everything was clean everything was organized. there was no bad smells in the area I was in the bathrooms were clean and the staff was absolutely amazing. The the technician that came into get my blood work for some tests was amazing I barely even felt her put the Needle in.Absolutely amazing smiling laughing talk to me a little bit and it was great. the only thing that I didn't necessarily like about my overnight stay was the nurse I got on the first part of me staying there was an older woman who was super sweet amazing great stories love to make me laugh we a joked around and had fun and she was just an amazing woman. well she hasn't been at this particular hospital long because she just moved here not too long ago and so I don't know if she didn't know where everything was or if maybe she was just having an off day because it took her about 10 minutes to find the correct needle for an IV even though it was kind of sitting right in front of her the whole time. Unlike everyone else who I had talked to and dealt with she had me worried because she told me that she was great at her job but that she made a mess when she did an iv. every person that had put an IV in me or any kind of needle was amazing at their job and they found it that second and there was no blood anywhere it was clean done in a heartbeat and over with. This particular nurse couldn't really find a vein and she kind of moved the needle around a little bit inside my skin which almost made me vomit because I do not do well with needles inside my skin. She wound up using a small vein instead because she couldn't get it into the big vein or something like that but other than that experience and the fact that she also kept forgetting about me. I hadn't eaten since nine that morning and it was almost nine at night and I kept asking for something to put in my stomach and she kept forgetting about it. Like I said I don't know if she was just having a bad day or I hope she isn't that forgetful all the time but the next morning I saw her she was my nurse again when I woke up after surgery and she was still kind of just as forgetful so I'm not sure...... The two nurses I had overnight were absolutely amazing they didn't have any problems remembering that I wanted water or ice or Jello or anything like that. They gave me pain relief when I needed it and it was an amazing visit. All in all except for that one nurse experience I would still give it a 5...

They have very few gems of phlebotomists there, everyone else was by FAR horribly rude, secretive and nasty. They made me feel like they didn't believe me on being pregnant spoke to me like I was child who didn't understand even though my urinalysis and blood labs came back positive for pregnancy. They didn't even take vials right nor would they answer direct questions clearly. I was patient and calm because I wanted good service. They let a (apparently known to them drug abuser) be seen in the E.R. before me when I was concerned about a possible miscarriage as if they didn't care about my health or my unborn embryo. I gave them another chance at keeping them as my health care provider when I made an appointment 2/23/18 and I was treated with distaste, they attempted to bring me to more labs I started already had lab work done that morning to have the results in by my appointment and the rude lab lady said "right yeah doesn't matter still need to come in now" then double backed on that and told me to wait because another lady pulled her to the side. Then she came back and said I need to come back there for a chat. We spoke about my results I asked what that meant she said I don't know, I asked what possibilities it could mean she said there are many possibilities, I tried to get a straight answer and she kept saying "I don't know" very harshly. SUPER INSENSITIVE. I asked what my report said from the E.R. because I was assured it would be sent up for this appointment and she kept saying "I don't know I can't access E.R. documents" even though I told her it was on my chart like she just kept hanging on to the same excuse four everything. They were mean and I asked how I could obtain them myself she said again I don't know I asked if I could call or pop over she said again harshly flatly I don't know. Sho I asked do you need anything from me or can I leave? She said I was good to go so I hastily went down stairs the counter ladies are also highly rude and patient privacy is not a thing there as I asked where I could find my records all three desk ladies stated at me and laughed one I spoke to said "not here" and the man chatting to the desk lady on the left was laughing at me and said oh boy like I'm not supposed to be asking questions. I had to repeatedly ask direct questions to specifically find the record keeper because these people are highly unprofessional. It's my health, my choice, my money. I can and will ask questions and I damn sure expect trained nurses and doctors to speak and hold a conversation with me. I have great insurance and money for services and I will be taking myself to mercy for more than archaic and offensive treatment that I got at Cox. I hope that more locals realize how poorly they are treated yet charged premium and remove themselves from cox. They do so little, seemingly have no morals and are down right despicable. I am saddened to see this place in business and can't wait till they piss someone off that can make any impact...

BEWARE OF PSYCHIATRIST DR. PATRICIA HOGAN OF COX MEDICAL CENTER BRANSON! In over 25 years of psychiatric care under many doctors, I have NEVER been subjected to a more cruel, uncaring, and unprofessional doctor. She has NO empathy whatsoever for the patient/client, but instead sits up in smug judgement of the patient/client. In my naivete, I thought that informing her of the hurtfulness of her intensely judgemental and accusatory behavior would cause her to stop, but instead it merely provided her with ammo, causing her to doubled-down on it, becoming increasingly verbally/emotionally abusive, when I was never anything but truthful, reserved, and polite. She is a wicked witch who has NO business being in charge of "helping" anyone as she CLEARLY takes sadistic pleasure in exacerbating their conditions. You HAVE to tell her that what she has prescribed is working, even if it isn't, to pacify her and bolster her ego, or else she takes it as a personal insult, accuses you of pill-seeking, and decides to get revenge. It would be too long to explain the whole story; just know that this is from personal experience with this hack and that I have NEVER written a bad review of a doctor before. To make a long story short, she intentionally induced a panic attack, resulting in me having to remain in the lobby and bathroom for over an hour, stranded in a MASSIVE panic attack, and then eventually landing in Urgent Care. A CARING person there talked to me about her at length and basically saved me from inpatient. This occurred during/after my appointment on Wed. Feb. 15, 2017. She was also abusive at the previous appointment the month prior, just not nearly to such an extent. And it is SO corrupt because there is NO recourse; all of the medical higher-ups OF COURSE take her side, especially with her being the one and only psychiatrist that they are stuck with. The patients/clients have NO ADVOCATES and just have to bend over and take it. Try switching to a DECENT doctor and get accused of "doctor-shopping". Avoid at all costs; she is a BULLY; NO treatment at all is literally better than her "treatment"; she couldn't be more vile and hateful. Incompetent would be a colossal understatement; with her psychiatric knowledge, she is a DANGEROUS manipulator of emotions. I don't want to believe that ANYONE is like this WILLINGLY; she is OLD; full-on geriatric mode; perhaps she is having limbic system degradation and NEEDS TO RETIRE. THANK YOU to the individual in Urgent Care who encouraged me to write this review; maybe it can save someone else from a breakdown. I wish that I had had a warning but there were zero reviews, so I got suckered...
