đ We Went to Chick-fil-A and Found More Than Chicken đ
Okay listen... I know itâs just Chick-fil-A.
But is it really ever just Chick-fil-A?
Today, we pulled through the drive-thru like weâve done a hundred times before. But something about it just hit different. The line was wrapped around the building (as always), and stillâstillâwe were through in under five minutes. Smiling faces, order correct, fries hot, sauce in the bag, and everyone saying âmy pleasureâ like they mean it. đ
đŻ You canât convince me this isnât one of the best-run fast food operations on planet Earth. But itâs not just the systemsâitâs the spirit of the place. Thereâs something about Chick-fil-A that feels like hospitality in a bag. Itâs fast food, but itâs not rushed.
đ Trick was in nugget heaven. Jossi said the lemonade tasted like âliquid sunshine.â Casey got her classic grilled chicken with the kale crunch and sat in that little booth like it was a peaceful corner of the world. And me? I just sat there soaking it in.
đ You know what I thought about while eating those waffle fries? How simple thingsâdone with excellenceâcan glorify God just as much as the big, flashy stuff. Jesus fed crowds with fish and bread. No sauce. No fancy packaging. But He did it with love and intention.
Chick-fil-A reminds me that showing up with kindness, consistency, and care is kingdom work too. Even in a drive-thru. Even when itâs chicken.
đŹ If youâve ever had a bad day turned around by a waffle fry and a warm smile, you know what Iâm talking about. And if youâve worked at one of these restaurantsâGod bless you. Youâre part of something bigger than a paycheck.
So yeah, we had Chick-fil-A today.
And yeah, Iâm writing a whole post about it. Because excellence should be noticed. Kindness should be talked about. And sometimes the Holy Spirit moves through lemonade and hospitality, right when you...
Read moreAte here 3 times during our week in Branson. We love CFA and always eat at one when itâs where we are traveling. Saturday breakfast was excellent. Chicken was prepared expertly and the counter person was great, even came and checked on us twice. Monday breakfast we had one of the least friendly counter people weâve ever had at a CFA. donât know if she was just having a bad day or is always like that, but she doesnât belong up front. Food was good. Wednesday breakfast the chicken was so greasy as to be inedible. Out of literally hundreds of CFA orders this was the worst. We told the person at the counter and he did apologize. At our home CFA, making a comment like that would have resulted in a manager making an appearance but not here. The young man at the counter was at least friendly. The 4 stars for atmosphere was for the temperature inside. We needed jackets inside because it was so cold. We arenât sure we would eat at this...
Read moreFirst off Iâve never had a bad meal at Chik fil A until tonight. Iâve eaten at dozens of locations and food and service is always outstanding. This location is the exception. The nuggets were disgusting. Over cooked to dark brown and black on most of them. Tasted like the grease was old. Called and complained, the manager said he would have a fresh order ready if I would return with them. I drove back and he did as he said. Had the order waiting on me. When he looked at the nuggets I brought back he said they totally met the companyâs quality standards. I was totally insulted by that comment. I asked if he had gone to any other of the chainâs restaurants and he said dozens of them. I said and your telling me they would have served nuggets like these and he said yes. Hope the restaurant chain gets a handle on...
