My son wanted an item in a case. There was no available worker in that section, so we went to the next section to ask for assistance and were told we had to have someone from that section help us, so we went back to wait in line at the checkout. Meanwhile the same woman from the top section came down and another customer asked her for the same item and she was magically able to help them. It was of course the last one so we were just out of luck. So convenient that she was able to help the other customer. It was obviously discrimination against us. Since we did look the same as her. Edit- since the owner responded to lie about what happened, no the woman that said she had to stay in that room was the same woman that not 2 minutes later was in the other room magically helping a woman who was walking by while we were waiting in line as we were told we had to do. My mom and I stopped here on my 25th birthday trip rather impromptu. This was a truly amazing experience for us! After a long, harsh winter in Wisconsin it felt so nice to step into some Christmas cheer at the end of April. We were very happy to find out as a test run this shop had extended their hours to 6 pm so we could browse more. We found some amazing treasures that will look wonderful on our tree in December, plus one for my sister, and a beautiful cross sculpture that will be a fitting reminder year round of the reason for the season-the birth and sacrifice of Jesus Christ for us! There's a lot to see and do in this area. I recommend first stopping at the visitor info center. The lady there was very helpful telling us about the events happening in town.

The post office is a great place to get your Christmas cards cancelled with the Santa Claus post mark. They have special post marks they use in December also.

There is the toy store which is a great place for kids or adults who have kids to buy for.

The evergreen boutique is a great place for older folks gifts.

The shop that wraps around the visitor center is filled with a huge variety of Christmas themed gifts and ornaments.

I hear that Santa sometimes cruises through the parking lot...
