The following is the review I posted on Gougers Market and Deli Facebook page, one page says permanently closed and the other wont let me post so here it is : Interesting that this facebook page states it is permanently closed as I went there yesterday. My husband grew up in the area and when I was craving a good grinder, he said Gougers used to have great grinders. From the moment I ordered I experienced attitude at the fact that was ordering 3 grinders. I told the guy behind the counter that the first 2 subs were the same except for bananna peppers. He is taking his time making them(which is fine if they are gonna taste great but they didnt). I asked him before he is finished making two basic sandwiches if he wants me to tell him the 3rd sub. His reply? "Do you want me to forget what you just told me?" I said, "No, not particularly. " So then I uncomfortably wait for about ten more minutes and he finally takes the order for the 3rd sub . A SIMPLE MEATBALL SUB! He hands me the subs and the whole time I'm thinking I'm hungry and as long as they are awesome no big deal on the TUDE. I also ordered two large containers of potato egg salad. The total was over 30 dollars. When I went to pay the man at the register LITTERALLY shushed me. So I get home with dinner for my family and the lettuce and tomatoes on the subs were rancid. The roast beef was so fatty and stringy we couldn't take a real bite, the meatballs=dogfood we ended up feeding to our dogs and lastly the potato egg salad I couldve got at a hospital it would have had more flavor. DONT WASTE YOUR...
Read moreBeen here a handful of times when I’m Brattleboro. Their grinder (I’m in New England, right?) isn’t phenomenal but it’s kinda great. I’ve settled on the very tasty Italian sub but I’m sure there are some really good hot ones w melted cheese. Tons of great add ons. I invented a pro tip that really worked for me: – ask the nice counterman to slice it into three and wrap them separately. It’s a big sandwich.
Nice people. A year or so ago there was a big washout or some such and they were donating (or perhaps they were paid for this) hundreds of sandwiches to the road crew that was cleaning up the mess
In the fridge you can grab a container of their American chop Suey or beans with salt back to heat up at home. Far from haute cuisine but pretty awesome. Overall a fine old...

He has also has instructed his employee's to bully and harass people who are on the sidewalk in front of his store and to try to inform such people that he own's the sidewalk.

Thirdly his employee's are a bunch of inbred Paranoid morons who are well know to law enforcement.
