Easily one of the worst Japanese places I’ve ever been to. I’m convinced people are only here because everywhere closes early (we came at 8:30 pm) and the good reviews are from their friends.
First, it’s very clear that this is a new establishment because we did not have any silverware, napkins or plates at the table, and they plopped down our food without giving us any. When we flagged them down for some, they just said “oh” and went to get some without apologizing.
Second, nothing tastes good. The shrimp tempura tasted like it had been pre-frozen and reheated (batter was not light and crispy). The tuna cut roll had a comically large amount of stale old rice (tasted like they’d left the rice uncovered in the fridge for 3 days). The uni pasta lacked any sort of flavor besides a hint of pepper; there was no salt, no briny taste, nothing. If you want a good uni pasta, head to Jinbei.
If this place doesn’t pick up their game, I don’t see them...
Read moreSushi Club seamlessly blends the best of sushi and izakaya in an atmosphere that's both modern and inviting. From the moment you step in, you feel welcomed, and it's clear that this place is committed to delivering top-notch seafood and meats. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between intimate and lively, making it ideal for a great culinary experience.
Though Sushi Club is still new, we've already been twice and it's become a fast favorite. The owner, Ken, is incredibly passionate about his vision for the restaurant, and we had the pleasure of hearing about his journey. Sushi chef Paul is equally impressive, showing a genuine pride in every dish he creates.
Whether you're a fan of classic options like tuna and salmon, or enjoy rarer offerings like uni, ikura, or A5 wagyu skewers, Sushi Club has something for everyone. It's definitely a spot we'll be returning to...
Read moreI came here with my family and it was so nice . We got yuzu.matcha drink with alcohol 🍸 which was yummy. I also got Sapporo beer which was refreshing. But the winner was the fine Thang roll with chives scallion inside . I also enjoyed the garlic noodles with uni pasta. The dish that was most memorable was the trust me sushi platter with 20 pieces. The platter was not only beautiful but it was so fresh. I also loved the blue crab uni rice bowl!! I also ordered wagyu 5 on a hot sizzling pan which was the softest meat I ever tried !! The staff was so friendly and I would definitely come back to try their other appetizers and sushi 🍣. Shisito peppers were also savory and not spicy at all!!! Love this new restaurant and the interior was calming and serene inside!! Also loved their tiramisu and matcha...
