UpdateI don't want to delete my previous review but I do want to acknowledge that the manager reached out and made things right. Lawrence listened to the situation, he listened to me, the customer. I truly felt he cared about my experience especially since we've been going there forever. When we utilized the credit he provided there were no issues.
We've been going to Nonna's since we were teens hanging out late nights. The food is good, we're never not happy with the food. What we are frustrated with is management. In August our order was incorrect, called to rectify the situation, person on the phone said they would credit our account, great. Called in September to get a pizza and use the credit. No such credit existed, okay fine. Talked to the manager Heather, a little back and forth about the credit situation. My bad for not getting the name of the person who credited our account in August. Heather basically accused me of making this up, I told her exactly what her employee told me. Again, not my fault or order was incorrect and your employee told us something that maybe they should not have. Heather said she would credit our account this time. I documented it in my phone that on Friday September 15th, 2023 at 6:30PM, Heather put a credit on our account. October went by, November we had a baby and figured why not order from Nonna's since we have a credit and we're tired. Even after telling the cashier what Heather told us and that we had a credit, we didn't get it. We were told a new system was put in place and Heather wasn't available. I don't feel like we need to argue the restaurants mistakes and then be treated like we're the ones who messed up. I've worked in food for over 15 years, the customer isn't always right but you at least do something. It will probably be a while before we go back as we've just been left feeling like customers aren't valued anymore. Again, food is good, never any complaints about food but the customer service has definitely...
Read moreSo my brother called to order a pizza from Nonna's pizza to get delivered to country club Hills. He had ordered before from this place and they had always delivered to his address. He was speacking so high of this place that I was excited to get some pizza from this place. That was until my brother was ordering through the phone to get a delivery and the unprofessional and really rude manager cassi told him they did not deliver to country club hills anymore and rudely hung up on him as he was still speaking. My brother really wanted pizza from that place so he called again to just order the food for pick up and he said that he would pay once he picked it up and they told him that no he had to pay at that moment because when he would get there the card machine won't work. When we went to pick up the pizza I asked for the manager and asked why she hung up on my brother as we were trying to order and I had suggested on how she could improve her customer service as a manager but she totally cut me off and asked if there was anything else she could help me with. I told her she really had a horrible attitude problem and as a manger and having a leadership position she was showing the employees and the rest of the customers a horrible management skills. Not only that but the whole crew just stop what they were doing just to tell me I could leave. Very disrespectful of employees and management. Need to really work on customer service. If they really don't like working with people and interacting with them they shouldn't really be working. And if a manger is not willing to find a solution to the problem or at least try to listen instead of cutting them off they shouldn't be in...
Read moreI’m the driver who asked about a tip after I delivered a pizza to a kid the other day. Yes, I did ask about a tip. I also gave him the pizza before I knew he had no intention of giving a tip as the smirk on his face indicated when I inquired. I repeat, he had procession of the pizza at the same time he gave me the signed credit card slip. This means the pizza was never out of his sight. His fear of me of doing something to the pizza is a falsehood. That is something that I would never do. He was just going for a free pizza. The tips received at Nonnas are the only way we can make any money. The owner, Calros, refuses to pay any hourly wage to us as other pizza operators do. He even keeps some of the delivery fee for himself. The portion we drivers receive barely covers our vehicle expenses and insurance. This leads to a narrow margin for us drivers, but enables his profits to increase as the portion he keeps has a direct impact on his bottom line while decreasing the driver’s income. We have little choice but to inquire about a lack of a tip. Without such tip the time spent on the delivery is a wash, meaning the driver will not make any money and has wasted his time. After many years at Nonnas, I am happily taking my services elsewhere. I should have departed some time ago, but I did like my fellow workers and will miss them. I’m retired and this was just a part time job giving me a little spending cash and...
