Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Bremen Township

I wish I could give this place zero stars. Let me start off by saying I love Popeyes and have been to this location several times over the years. Not the best Popeyes, but not the worse. UNTIL TODAY. I have never felt so judged or disrespected by a fast food establishment until today. I ordered what I usually order for my family, a 8 pc family meal, and I always get spicy, all dark meat. Never have I ever had any issues with this order until tonight. The man on the speaker said he will not do all dark meat, has to be mixed. I said okay, and drove up. I have never been refused this request of only dark meat, ever. Even at this specific location. So when I gave the girl my card, I asked her why did they not give me my order as requested, I’ve never had an issue before ( not in a rude way either, I was genuinely curious. If they had a valid answer, I would be very understanding) BUT SHE SAYS NOTHING! Absolutely nothing, completely acknowledges me looks me in the eye, but not a word comes out of her mouth. Not even thank you when she hands me my receipt and card back. So I was reading my receipt while I waited for my order and she walks over to a man and he says something to her in another language while staring at me hard. And all of the sudden literally all 8 staff members are lined up just standing staring at me through the window! I can’t make it this up, this was craziest drive thru expierence I ever had. They made me feel so uncomfortable literally staring into my vehicle with their arms crossed, a mix of men and women. I am a mother with 2 babies in my backseat and they did not make me feel safe at all with the mean dirty looks I got from each of them. They gave me my bag of food and I asked “why are you they staring at me, this is so weird”. Again silence and I just drove off. I will never come back here and I will share this story with all my neighbors and many friends in this local community. I have visited this location three times. The first time food, order was completely wrong and half of it was cold. So, thinking this could just be a fluke. Bad day, they were a little swamped. I'd give it another shot. The second time I went there. I decided to try the drive through. The line was quick and service was fast. Which seemed maybe, a little to quick. But, when you hungry and you got a carfull you're really just happy to get in and get out. When we got home (which is literally 5 minutea away. The order was completely wrong and cold. I had called the store and got nowhere. They didn't even answer the phone. We discarded all the food and ordered pizza. This last time which was a week or two ago. I decided to try one last time because, I had heard they switched management at this location. I decided to go the drive through route. We were in a hurry and didn't want to go in any where especially with the covid being still a thing. After waiting at the window for five minutes. The young lady came to the window and said it would be another five minutes for the fries to finish cooking. This didn't seem like an unreasonable request. And who doesn't want fresh hot fries??? 10 minutes go by a young lady comes out to the car with our bags. The only thing in the bag that was warm was 1 order of fries that seemed to have just come out of the fryer. The other order of fries was stone cold as well as our sandwiches. Now it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out if you have to wait on an order of fries. You probably want to switch out both orders so that there fresh. If you're making fresh fries wouldn't common sense dictate just redo the order. Well, apparently not. So, long story short I would avoid this place like it's Covid and you have a weak immune system. Service was crappy, the people were bratty and the food was old and stale. I walked in ordering the $5 boneless wing bash, and a Mac and cheese for my side. It was my first time going since my last experience with undercooked chicken, that made me throw up, and I was ready to give it another chance. I get my food and open my Mac and cheese first. The cheese was old and hard, and there was only like 12 noodles. I go to the counter to complain and the girl is talking super rudely and then is like that was the last one. And shes like, so what are you getting instead. She had this super annoyed look on her face and I told her mashed potatoes. So i get the mashed potatoes and I go to take a bite and it is scolding hot, so I take a bite of my chicken, which is also hard and kinda stale, but it was fine... I guess... i didnt feel like complaining so I was like whatever. I take a bite of my biscuit, which was the only thing that was actually kinda ok. Then I take a bite of my potatoes and it was actually good. So I'm about done eating and I run out of ranch, because I got only one. So i go up and ask for a ranch and she's like for 33 cents. Im thinking damn I've already such a bad experience and I just ordered 10min ago, you can't give me a damn ranch.
