We recently visited Dog Days for trivia night with our group of friends, hoping for a fun and enjoyable evening. However, our experience was far from pleasant, and we will not be returning to this establishment.
Firstly, we were initially drawn to the place by its impressive atmosphere. The ambiance was indeed captivating and had the potential to create a great experience. Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended. The bartender, who we assume was the owner, was inebriated and behaving inappropriately. Not only was he shouting out the answers during the trivia game, but he also spent a significant amount of time away from the bar, and sitting with his friends drinking.
Our disappointment extended to the beverage menu as well. Despite being avid beer drinkers and residing in Kitsap county, we were highly dissatisfied with the selection. Shockingly, approximately one-third of the menu did not consist of beer options. Moreover, the IPA we ordered tasted like a watered-down amber, lacking the robust flavor we had anticipated. The blonde beer was equally disappointing, as it barely had any discernible taste. Adding to the disappointment, the beer was not served at the appropriate temperature, and on two occasions, we were given warm glasses.
Given our experience, we are perplexed by the multitude of positive reviews this place has received. The lack of quality service, subpar beer selection, and overall disappointment we encountered during our visit make it clear that Dig Days fell short of our...
Read moreSwung by as a last minute stop before heading out to a local restaurant and ended up staying and hanging out the whole afternoon. A laid back atmosphere, great service, ability to bring in outside food, dog friendly and delicious beers changed my evening plans for the better. Definitely a great spot to swing by if you’re in for a day or for a mini trip to Bremerton, and check out their schedule to see what events are happening. Tonight (Wednesday) was a nerd night so a game of Magic was occurring, there was the baseball game on, basketball highlights and a large screen projector for Mario Smash Brothers.
As for their beers, they are one of the few places in WA state who offer sours so I went for their Gone-A-Rye which was absolutely phenomenal. They had a wide variety ranging from pale ales to Kolsch and I’d be lying if I didn’t admit I’d love to see their beers on the mainland. Overall, a great spot to visit and hang out for...
Read moreGood beer and a fantastic atmosphere that deserves about a 15 out of 10. If you've given Wobbly Hopps a try in the past and been disappointed by the beer, it's worth a second try; it's under new ownership and the brews are much improved. The owners are pet-friendly, human-friendly, and so far, home to some of the best live music I've heard in Bremerton (singer-songwriter/blues guitarist). The owners are personable and dedicated to their craft. They even gave me and my pup a free tour of the brewery!
On a rainy day enjoy the cozy exposed brick/wood interior; on a sunny day sit on the sidewalk and enjoy the street life on this leafy avenue. Clientele is warm but not raucous. This is the kind of place Bremerton needs!
Bring your own food and have a great dining experience for cheap....
