I walked into the Starbucks on 6th and Warren expecting my usual coffee run, but instead got the full Cheers experience. The moment I stepped through the door, Jazzy and the crew greeted me with an enthusiastic "PETE!" that would make Norm Peterson proud. Suddenly I'm wondering if I accidentally stumbled into the coffee shop equivalent of that iconic Boston bar—except instead of "Norm!" it's my name echoing through the space, and instead of a beer, I'm getting perfectly crafted caffeine. This place genuinely feels like somewhere everybody knows your name and they're always glad you came. The staff doesn't just remember your order; they light up when they see you walk in. It's that rare combination of professional service and authentic warmth that makes you feel like a regular even if you've only been there a handful of times. In a world of rushed transactions and forgettable interactions, finding a coffee shop where the baristas treat you like an old friend is something special. Jazzy and the team have created their own little corner of hospitality magic—no laugh track required. What started as just another trip for my caffeine fix turned into a genuine mood booster that carried me through the rest of my day. 5/5 stars - Highly recommend this caffeinated...
Read moreFrom the outside this location looks massive so I was eager to visit to do some work on my laptop. Upon entering, I was gravely disappointed. The building may appear huge, but the space Starbucks maintains is minuscule. Either way, I decided to order some brunch. The barista who took my order didn’t greet me, didn’t thank me for waiting (I was the only customer inside), or make any sort of personal greeting. Food was mediocre, and I only sat that because the sandwich I ordered was shoved into the bag so the top bun was folded over making the meat and cheese in my sandwich stick to the paper bag. I also quickly realized why I was the only customer dining in. There are 4 tables inside, each with 4 chairs. However the chairs are barstool height…and the tables are countertop height. What does this mean for you or I? It means you’re sitting way up high when the table is much too low. I had to pull a Hunchback of Notre Dame move to try and attempt to lean over and type on my laptop. Lesson learned though. In the future if I need somewhere to work or study, I’ll seek accommodations elsewhere and surely won’t be picking up another smashed sandwich...
Read moreI’m a current partner at starbucks so i’m aware of what the starbucks experience is supposed to be like. I go to 6th and warren on my days off to get coffee, and if anything i am very nice because i have a lot of care for my fellow partners. every time i go and i see that it’s Aurora working the window i get very uncomfortable and dread driving up. she doesn’t say anything not even hello, hands me my drink and still says nothing and gives me a dirty look for not driving away. today i asked for straws and she slammed them into my hand. i wait for any sort of confirmation that the transaction is over with before just driving off. i have this experience every time i go there and think she is literally the worst DTR. she should not be there or she needs an attitude correction. i’ve mentioned it to my partners at my store and they know exactly who it is due to her bad behavior. the least friendly barista i’ve met. i have not even said anything to her really to upset her unless she’s just intimidated by me or maybe there’s a...
