Bonnie Belle's Pastries — Restaurant in Bridgeport

I called and order a plain all pink cake with only a border and a little writing. I specifically said that I wanted it plain and absolutely no roses. When I arrived the woman was asking me what my order was because she could not find my cake. I told her it was a 2 tier circle cake and she said back “so an 8 inch double” in a very condescending way, almost making fun of me because I didn’t know her cake terminology. This was in front of the 6 costumers standing behind me. She eventually found the cake which had 2 big roses on it, one green and one pink. It also had 2 different shades of pink and sprinkles on it and the base color of it was white. I told her what I had ordered and she said that it said nothing about that and did not seem to care that I was dissatisfied. She told me that taking the roses off would just make it look not smooth. I had them still take the roses off and left. The overall experience was just not good. The cake was no where near what I asked for, but even more the woman was just so rude when I was being very nice and apologetic for asking her to fix it. Never...

I called today to ask and inquire about a wedding cake. I talked to someone who was nice and I emailed picutres of what I wanted to. Then the lady on the phone hands the phone to someone else who was rude! This was the 1st time I have ever called or spoke to someone about a wedding cake. She apparently thought I was someone else because she proceeded to tell me, I spoke to your mother this weekend (which my mother has NEVER contacted Bonnie bells) and I told her it's to early to look for your wedding cake and also what you want I can't use butter cream and fondant on the same cake it won't work. She keep talking very rudly to me..... I usually don't post things but I have had a great experience so far in planning my wedding and for someone to talk down to me and confuse me for someone else was not the way to start my planning for a wedding cake. Sooo I will NOT be getting my wedding...

Bonnie Belle’s just did my wedding cake this past weekend. While the cake tasted delicious; I was very disappointed they did not decorate as I had requested. I asked that the cake/fondant be Champaign & the lace pattern ivory to match my dress at the time I ordered. I called on Tuesday the week before to ensure they had that marked on the order and the young lady confirmed they did. I guess I should have thought something when someone called and indicated they had purchased blue ribbon because the pearl ribbon I provided wouldn’t show up without a colored ribbon behind it; but I had so much going on I just thanked them & moved on.

They are professional and delivered the cake looking great, but what a let down to walk into a reception I had planned to the smallest detail and see the cake NOT be what I had...
