Miami Grill — Restaurant in Bridgeton

I just tried this place for the first time. I got the catfish nuggets and fries with sides of ranch and cheese sauce. First, I was quite disappointed in the catfish. It is, what I call, "dirty fish". It had that weird dirt/mold taste that happens when the fish isn't cleaned properly/well. Some don't mind it but I ate half of one nugget and trashed it. The fries were good. The ranch was very weird tasting, even looked weird- almost shiny like. It's hard to explain. The cheese sauce had jalapenos in it. Would have been nice to know so I didn't order it, especially at about $3 for it. All that aside, it was a TON of food for about $15, hot and fresh. There was no one at the counter when I opened the door but, by the time I walked the maybe 20 steps to the counter, help was waiting. He was very polite, even repeated my order back to me for accuracy. That doesn't happen often. The space was SPOTLESS and smelled clean and fresh, a major upgrade from how it was when it was a McDonalds. All in all, I will be back and try...

Visited here based on Google reviews. I ordered a gyro and my wife ordered a Philly. I was not impressed with my gyro. It was dry and the meat tasted old and reheated. I could only finish half and tossed the rest. My wife reported that her sandwich was below average but "okay". The fries were served with a fine white powder on them. I can not express how excited I was to eat here. Knowing it was new and seeing 3 decent reviews, I figured we would try it out. We pulled in during hours of operation and were met with locked doors. Tables covered, remodel happening, and 3 dudes in the parking lot. Assuming they had not opened yet and the 3 reviews were from those gentlemen, likely owners of some sort.
