2024 ==> It's been a while. Since our last visit, COVID happened. However, this place is still open and the food is still good. This time the occasion was to introduce a bunch of friends to this style of food. So, we ordered a bunch of the appetizers and shared them all family-style. It was a blast! We ordered five different dishes and also the soup of the day. We all rolled out of there stuffed and with leftovers to take home. What a great experience. The one thing that did deteriorate (?) since our last visit is that they no longer have a liquor license. So, if you expect to order wine, or beer, they do not have it. I forgot to ask about BYOB, so next time I will have to call in advance to ask. ============================================== 2018 --Always like going there. This time the occasion was a visit from a vegetarian friend who loves Mediterranean cuisines. Food was good and generously portioned. Even the meat eater in the group was very happy with her meal.

Shouf's Cafe USED TO BE an amazing restaurant with incredible Lebanese and Mediterranean food - with typical restaurant hours. In the last three years, however, the restaurant is barely open and, even when it is open, offers only takeout. The quality of the food and the service has gotten much worse. When open, no one answers the telephone. Online orders seem to be regularly turned off. Go elsewhere until the owners either decide to get their act together again or close outright.

After a long hiatus following Covid closures we finally stopped in for a dinner on Friday night. The service was excellent. The food was as we remembered … flavorful and served hot right out of the kitchen. Mediterranean Chicken and Lubbe are both great. Gyro is OK. Only negative was the atmosphere was a bit bright and had a “cold” ambiance that felt like a cafeteria. Other than that great authentic pick for a good dinner.

A friend and I were heading from Pittsburg to Columbus on 7-20-13 and pulled off the highway to see if we could find a place to eat that would accommodate two very healthy eaters...not always easy to find off random highway exits, who were tired and cranky:) We passed by Shouf's and turned around to give it a shot. Wow. First, the staff was so nice. We were seated right away and attended to. Then, the guy in the photo above who I guess is the owner, stopped by and I asked about the shrimp special and if it was possible to get it grilled instead of fried. (I do not eat any meat other than some seafood and the meat on the menu was lamb, beef and chicken) Not only did he graciously agree, but what arrived at our table totally exceeded my expectations. I think what we got was not what was on the special board but something a little more "special". It was delicious; grilled shrimp, sautéed spinach and rice. We also ordered hummus...so perfectly creamy, and the grilled tomatoes which are an absolute MUST. They were sweet and flavorful. I'm not sure if I will be heading to Pittsburg any time soon but I will make it a point to come back to Shouf's if I do. THANK YOU for serving fresh and healthy food and for a great dining experience! You have a fabulous little...

WOW talk about your diamond in the rough. this place is fantastic. We had relatives who had eaten here and loved it. We ended up going for a late lunch so no one at the table ordered any of the meals. Although our relatives said they were fantastic. We all had salads. The dressing was amazing. Simple but absolutely perfect. I had ordered the Shouf's Salad with Gyro Meat. I've never had Gyro meat cut in big chunks before and I don't think I’ve ever had Gyro meat that tasted this good. It was absolutely perfect and the salad had a ton of it. The salad itself was maybe slightly on the smaller side for an entree salad but I wasn't hungry after so it was appropriately sized. We also ordered the hummus as an appetizer. This is not store bought, great flavor and texture. The regular entrée prices were a little more than I would have expected but if they taste half as good as what we had they are more than justified. If you are familiar with Greek food you’ll be fine as most of the menu was things I’ve recognized from Greek restaurants with a few other additions. Will absolutely eat here again next time...
