Went here two times so far and the experience was always enjoyable. The first time was with a good friend of mine for lunch. We were seated within a few minutes and approached by a waiter immediately. He was fast, efficient, attentive, and very friendly.
I ordered the black bean soup which was earthy and warm with hints of chopped bacon. It was delicious and not too filling.
My entree was the half-roasted chicken with whipped mashed potato and asparagus. The asparagus was crunchy and firm but good, the chicken was tender, flavorful, and a more than sizable portion. The mashed potato was buttery and creamy. Overall, I was satisfied with everything.
Second time I went, was last night for dinner with my mom. As soon as we went in, we were greeted by a throng of hostesses, the manager, Steve, and a group of flustered servers. We had reserved a table and told them and they got us in two hours earlier than our wait time.
We ordered and were able to have a lengthy conversation as there was a notable delay in the kitchen. Our starters and entrees took a longer time than usual to come out.
Our waiter was very good, clearly rushed, as he went from table to table. It was apparent they were frazzled and the air was chaotic. We were seated right by the doorway so there was a constant flow and procession of servers and dining patrons.
Still, my basil pesto chicken flatbread was wonderful and warm, drizzled with olive oil, and generously stacked with fresh and peppery arugula. I would highly recommend it and any of their flatebreads. I was told the four mushroom, in particular, was amazing.
Also, I would suggest obtaining a coupon for starters to get a percentage off and taking advantage of their specials, as their options can be a tad pricy.
Anyway, despite the delay, the maitre'd and wait staff were professional, amicable, and clearly determined to handle the overflow of guests. Additional tables were pulled out to accommodate more people and the manager, Steve served entrees and starters and brought out stacks of plates and silverware.
He came to our table and apologized profusely for the chaos and assured us our food would arrive. And it did. I ordered the rainbow trout with doable potatoes and yummy broccolini. I also had rose lemonade which I loved. The fish, to me, was better without its accompanied dill mustard sauce. It was far too overpowering.
Overall, I only paid for one thing on my bill as the manager felt so bad for us being so patient and understanding that he took everything else off. I want to commend him for his graciousness and wonderful customer service as well as professionalism, Steve was great - impressionable, polished, and highly understanding.
I ended up paying double the amount because they were so nice.
I would recommend going during the week, avoid peak hours if you can, and try and get a booth seat if it's just two people. Otherwise, the round and square tables are more than enough to fit larger parties. The service was wonderful both times and the food is pretty good. It's a nice...
Read moreLoved it. Second tine eating there since it opened and I have to say that the food got even better. The service was incredible. Our server in particular was wonderful and she should know it, she hit every mark and then some. So here's the only issues I had. We were a party of ten for a birthday. My brother in law turned 40. So we ordered some starters, the meat balls, mushroom flat bread, crab stuffed mushroom caps and crab cakes. Here is the only issues that I experienced the entire night the mushroom caps we're great I personally do not like crab nor mushrooms but I ate them and enjoyed them until I found a piece of plastic in the middle of one but it had to be there from preparation or something I did not tell the waiter I did not want to make a big stink about it because everything else was great. And this really is the only issue that I can say we had, the other thing that I would like to mention is that you should clarify the amount of items you will receive with each order. we didn't do that and we ended up only getting 2 whole crab cakes when we ordered the starters. we figured we would order two orders and that would be enough for the whole table of 10. Well that was only one whole crab cake per order. the portions are not necessarily shareable with a large party but would probably be fine for a couple or a normal family size. My entree was amazing and the portion were more than adequate. I ordered the 8 oz filet mignon with mashed Yukon potatoes instead of the normal roasted Yukons. The steak was cooked perfectly to my order, rare and my sister's was a perfectly pink medium rare. Both were like butter and seasoned perfectly. No need for A1 steak sauce although I did ask for it on a whim haha I didnt really think they would have any and I was right, fortunately, they did not. Overall I would still rate my experience at 9 out of 10 and will be going back many...
