We have been loyal customers since their opening over off of 120th. This is my husbands favorite beer and has been his favorite brewery for years. We have brought our friends and family to the tap room and have enjoyed ourselves each and every time over the years. We went Friday night 10/20/17 and had the worst experience. There was 6 of us that came in to enjoy a beer. Now understand 4 of the 6 of us are over 50 and my son & his girlfriend are in their 20's. My son's girlfriend is a bartender at a very busy establishment. We were treated poorly and because the server (a short, heavy set guy with blond hair and a mustache who claimed to be the manger) thought that one of the gentlemen of our party had been drinking refused to serve him. None of us had been drinking mind you. When we asked why he thought he had been drinking he stated because his eyes are blood shot. And because we questioned him he made us all leave. Now as I mentioned my son's girlfriend is a full time bartender. She was stunned at how poorly this was handled as we all were. I still rate Big Choice with five stars as they have always been a top notch establishment with great beer the best servers and friendly staff but due to this horrible experience only rating this with 1 star in hopes it will get their attention. This guy will ruin their business if they do not replace him quickly. As we were leaving other guests were also complaining about how rude he was. We are all looking at this on the light side and can now say we have all been tossed from a bar. The funny part is we left and went right over to the Copper Rail and had...
Read moreI was super excited for this place, we are new to the area and I drive past it daily and was really let down. We went in and right away our server was kinda off, we immediately got the feeling that she was anti social (which is odd for having a serving job) so that set the tone pretty quick for the evening. When I asked her about the different brews because we had never been there before or what she liked most all she responded with was “I don’t know I haven’t tried them.” I responded with just an ok and she said but I guess the most popular ordered is this one after she felt my tension. We proceeded to order drinks as well as food and she said she needed my card to open a tab and I responded well we aren’t keeping a tab open we are just ordering food and these drinks but she proceeded to tell me she still needed a card so I gave her one, I’ve only ever had that happen when actually sitting at the bar in a bar but I guess this must be a new thing or just something they require.. there were about four tables total in the entire brewery and she checked on us ONE time.. the bartender brought us our drinks because they sat at the bar for a while. I had to wave her down from talking to another server to get our check to leave well we didn’t get a check.. she just ran my card before allowing me to see the charges and asked me to pick a tip amount and when I asked her where our check was she said they don’t print off checks and that she couldn’t redo it without it recharging my card, well the bartender saw my face and showed her to print it off cause apparently they can print off a check.. all in all we...
Read moreI would’ve given a 2.5 rating if given the option but I just rounded up. We stopped in because we are “newer” to Brighton and heard this is a fun place with a good vibe and amazing food. Can’t say I agree unfortunately. The guacamole had a brown film, we had leftover salsa/guacamole because we were given 5 chips (not really but when do people ever have leftover dips? That’s usually what runs out, not the chips) We were told they were running low on menus and to go scan the door. After scanning and reviewing the menu, I ordered a Mojito and was told “sorry, ran out of Mojitos last night.” So I got a Strawberry Margarita and THAT RIGHT THERE was the only reason I wanted to give this place a 2.5. Super good and strong.
So now the pizza… because we were trying a new place, we wanted to switch it up a little and try a pizza we have never had before. We ended up ordering the Crab Rangoon pizza. I asked before ordering if the crab meat came in big fat pieces or shredded? We were told shredded, but when it came, it came with big fat pieces. It was interesting and not horrible. But definitely wouldn’t purchase it again.
We sat outside and of course we expected noise from the highway but the smell of exhaust and loud trucks took away from the vibe. The views are not that desirable so some plants or flowers on the balcony along with some music would have made it a better...
