Do not recommend this theater due to the staff and management having a disregard for customer safety and customer concerns. Wish I could leave a zero star review due to the terrible customer service received at this location by an AMC staff member as well as calling to speak to the manager, who completely disregarded my concern about the incident and responded as though she could care less.
As a long time premier member and resident of Brighton, I’ve frequented this location over 15 years and never experienced something so completely disrespectful and disturbing. On Saturday evening 1/4/25, my 13-year-old daughter along with her friend were watching a kids movie, while her friend’s Mom watched a rated R showing. When the girls’ movie was over, the girls proceeded to look for the theater that her mother was in because their movie ended first and they couldn’t remember the name of the movie her mom was watching (Nosferatu). My daughter and her friend were approached by a staff member, who said “I can see you on the cameras, you can’t pop in and out of theaters.” The girls explained to the staff member that they were just trying to find which theater that her mom was in and they don’t know which one it was. The staff member told the girls, “there is a private showing going on, you can’t pop in and out of the theaters, you can either leave or wait in the lobby.” Now understand, this was around 11:30pm on a Saturday night, and the theater was basically empty and the girls were not being disruptive, disrespectful or disturbing anyone. This staff member was telling two young MINOR girls to leave the theater at 11:30pm at night when they clearly stated that their adult was still there viewing a movie. The girls sat down to wait in the lobby near the customer service desk, because they felt that was the best place to wait. To keep themselves occupied, they had a stuffed animal that they were tossing up in the air and catching and juggling. The same staff member completely annoyed, yelled at the girls “you need to stop, this is not a playground!” Then the same staff member (blonde hair mid twenties) along with another staff member (pink hair mid twenties) started whispering to each other back and forth while staring at my daughter and her friend giving them dirty looks for no reason, other than what sounds like to be adult bullies.
Human decency and respect to ALL paying customers is expected, regardless of the customers age and/or whether it is a private showing, as no other customer is ranked at a higher level of importance over another. It was concerning how the staff member handled this situation when the girls were simply looking for their mom and obviously both are minors. It was disappointing and discriminating. The staff member could’ve been helpful instead, knowing that they are younger girls and perhaps offered to figure out which theater it could have possibly been. It would be great if there could be clear communication in such instances, or a little empathy, especially late at night, to ensure the safety and comfort of all customers. I believe better understanding and communication of respect in these situations would greatly improve the overall experience at this theater. When I called to share my concerns with the manager, who was reluctant to give me her name when I asked, twice, and just said “Crimson”. She was dismissive and disregarding as all she said was, “I will have a talk with her.” She didn’t care, and it just goes to show that the level of disrespect comes...
Read moreTheres a huge difference between this place prepandemic and post pandemic. The staff no longer cares about anything. The person tearing our tickets forgot to give us our 3d glasses. Then we bought the combo but 2 of the 4 butter machines were empty so there was a line to get butter. They no longer leave the little cups out for extra butter. But the thing that irritates me the most was that they have 4 drink machines and not a single one had ice. We went to the first showing so the machine should have had all night to make ice. Then after the movie, we stopped to get a refill and STILL no ice, even though we had brought it up to staff the first time. Its ridiculous to charge $8 for a soda and then not have ice available. I get that stuff happens but every single employee just shrugged their shoulders and ignored the issues. I will be going to the Orchard from now on. 4/19/23 UPDATE: 2 cashiers at concessions, 1 taking order from amc member line, 1taking orders from my line. Was 5th in line in regular line and though it was slow (took about 10 min to get to front), line was moving smoothly. Once person in front of me got her order, the cashier for my line stopped taking orders and helped person making pizza and such. No problem, I waited for him to help the other guy catch up. Then he walks away and doesnt come back. I still wait patiently as I watch a manager walk up with a plastic to go bag and and the guy making pizzas helps her fill some kind of order. After I had been waiting for longer at the front of the line than I had to get to that spot, and after manager made eye contact at least 3 times without saying anything, and after I looked behind me to see that my line now had at least 15 and the premier line had around 10 in line, I asked the manager if my line was still being served. She acted like I was an idiot for asking and said yes. I explained that I just needed to know if this wasn't a line anymore since they stopped serving it and there wasnt a cashier anymore. Eventually the cashier showed up and started taking orders again, but I almost choked on my popcorn when Nicole Kidman talked about the magic of seeing a movie on the big screen. Clearly she has never been to this theater since there is nothing magical about...
Read moreWent in yesterday for the 9pm showing of fantastic four, once we got there our tickets looked a bit out of place and not where I had originally selected. A few minutes before the movie starts another person comes and tells me that I was in their seat and shows me their ticket. I was definitely confused because I had selected the seats in the corner but he had the seat ticket. I go up to the costumer service kiosk (there was no one there by the way) the person checking tickets was so nice and helpful, I explained the situation to her and she called over someone else. This employee had red short hair, piercings and black eye makeup. As we go to the theater room and I am explaining the situation to her she starts off by telling me fandango is not really reliable (then why is it an option when buying tickets?) and that the seating arrangement aren’t up to date there. When she said that i understand right away that it wasn’t an issue from my end but fandango itself not being up to date with his the theater is laid out (I checked through AMC to verify if the seating arrangement was the same as fandango or if it was up to date and AMC does have it up to date). Of course I know this isn’t something that the employees can fix but this last employee that helped me was very dismissive and was even rude when I was explaining the situation to her saying “well those are your seats not the ones you wanted “, “the section you were looking at doesn’t even exist” I completely understand there is so much they can do but I think it’s very inappropriate to have something in costumer service who clearly could care less about providing costumer services she is definitely unprofessional . I mean the ticket clerk was being more helpful and was even willing to find someone to help me. (Seats at the right corner back of theater, where...
