I stopped in today (8/27/25) around 2pm with my 4 year old daughter for a quick bite to eat. I drive over from Erie because I was really craving food from Chubby's on 82nd and Washington but I didn't feel like driving into Denver. Figured I'd try this place out.
I ordered a large smothered fry deluxe plus chicharrones, bean and cheese burrito, small French fry and a glass bottled Coke. The total came to $29.84. The Coke was a short bottle instead of the tall ones and my daughter and I had to shake and conserve it... But we still ran completely dry early on into our meal. That really sucked especially considering we're... I'm eating spicy food. They do not have fountain drinks and God only knows how much the bottled Cokes cost... Or anytime else in the menu for that matter. Although there were prices shown on the menu board and I was roughly adding up in my head... I still have no idea how it cost so much for what I ordered... No receipt was offered.
I was kindly greeted by an older gentleman and he provided good service. The food was okay... Better than some Bubba Chinos locations as well as Santiago's... This place actually uses the correct fries.
If we would've had access to large cups and free drink refills... I bet the food would've tasted much better and this would actually probably be at least a 4 star review... But as is, I must give it only 1 star because I can't see myself ever coming back to this location or any other Bubba Chinos... This place is unpatronizable with the drink situation... It's just a single simple issue... But a critical one... One that if fixed could help to reconcile the...
Read moreI am so disappointed in the direction one of my favorite restaurants has gone. The customer service is completely nonexistent. You can call multiple times to order ahead and will get no answer. This restaurant use to be the only reason I would make the drive to Brighton. I grew up eating Bubba Chinos. After this week, I will not be returning. It is a normal occurrence that you cannot get food other than chili cheese fries if you arrive within the hour of closing. Tonight, for example, I called an hour and 15 minutes before closing to order while I was on my way and got no answer. I live over 40 minutes away and have always been willing to make the drive. Even though the burritos have gotten smaller while remaining the same price, I have always loved the food. When I arrived I was informed the grill was closed. This is the second time this week that this has happened. I work long hours at the hospital and am unable to make it more than an hour before closing. I'm sad to say I will not be returning after receiving such...
Read moreMy friend grew up in Brighton and lived two buildings down from this place. We were in Brighton on a little business and she insisted we stop in and say hi as she had once worked there and Brighton being such a small town, there would be familiar faces there plus she said the food was to die for. Come to find out it was an older house converted into a restaurant decades ago. We got the steak burritos with their green salsa in and on top. Very delicious and it’s run by a United States Veteran of the Marines and he was also a Denver Police officer. Very cool guy and the pictures and memorabilia on the wall are just amazing. He met George bush in one, you see some WW2 photos that look personal in some way and other gems like a large photo of the battalion he was once in with more soldiers squared up perfectly with what my civilian ass could only imagine are intensely large and abundant artillery cannons behind them in a...
