Mediocre food, they skimp on items and the owner has a poor attitude towards customers and his employees. I had a problem recently with same menu item I ordered today so I brought it up. To make sure it didn't happen again. Soooo they upcharged me for what was a "special request". 🙄 I paid without realizing it. Addressed the issue once I realized it and brought it up to employee (nice guy). Owner initially refused to correct it through same employee. Food delivered. I ate. Menu item disappoints again so I photographed it to show the owner the issues when I talked to him. Finished eating and I addressed it with owner. Explained situation as polite as possible. Out of the gate the owner had arrogant attitude and said "we're having too much conversation" about the issue. Yet, he had time to go off about his shortcomings as a manager and running a business. For the record...I've run 2 pizza joints in the past and have owned 2 other businesses (23+ years business ownership experience) in the past. This really wasn't about my $4 upcharge at this point. This is about quality and caring about the products you send out. And customer conflict resolution. He clearly doesn't like his product/portion control shortcomings pointed out.
To show him an example of the "issue" I showed him the photo of today's purchase. I take pictures of food all the time. His response "of course you took a photo of it". I didn't say it, but thought YEAH I TOOK A PHOTO OF IT! IN THIS CASE FOR PROOF! The owner PROPERLY refunded my improper upcharge.
The only thing he got right in this whole interaction was his chippy "you're not my bro let's get that right" comment. And he's right...
SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AVOID THIS PLACE.
Lost my business and that of my families and as many friends as I can tell.
P.S. The 12-5-21 Trip Advisor review (Kitchen) "Nightmare on Grand River"...100% guarantee it was the owner. Described by more than 1 person (I've talked to about it since) in the Brighton business community as a "hothead".
To the owner: Use this as a learning experience. DO better. Or...don't and lose more...
Read moreI try and recommend (by word of mouth) this place as much as I possibly can. I have been eating at Mancino's for years (starting with the Ann Arbor location). I was pleasantly surprised to find out there was a location out this way after moving to the area.
This location is clean and the employees are friendly and inviting. You will also find that it gets quite busy during normal lunch and dinner hours. The food; all of it, is absolutely delicious. Who doesn't like pizza anyway? I don't even know if I would trust the review or opinion of someone who didn't like pizza. Fortunately for those who may want something different than pizza, this place offers an array of other menu items. Many of which I have personally tried, and many of which are just as delicious as the pizza. You should expect to pay a bit more for a pizza here compared to your other billion dollar neighborhood pizza chains. Lucky for you, it's worth it and you're not helping the CEO of some pizza conglomerate buy another Ferrari for his fourth penthouse he just bought in Florida.
If you're looking for a local pizza joint with excellent food, this is your...
Read moreDelicious food and big portions ! It was a good place to work and would be great for college and high school kids looking for growth! The seasonal mango haberno grinder was the bomb! I'd definitely be back to eat 10/10 (if I wasn't too embarrassed to show my face) It was very clean and properly sanitized. Good discounts for customers on weekends and Tuesday specials!
Management is very kind to customers and treats them all with equal respect and addresses their concern promptly which is something alot of places don't seem to do these days.
Unfortunately with health complications and social/emotional issues i feel as i didn't quite make the long term employee cut.( probably wasnt the right environment 4 me) I totally miss the food it was delicious and the proportions were fantastic!
Shout out to Jesse and Gavin! They were awesome and homeboys definitely deserve a raise, tho my time was brief they left a kind impact on me that I still sometimes...
