every Wednesday, my family would go to the Howell Qdoba‘s for their Wednesday special where you can get a bowl with all the fixings and pop for around eight dollars, which was a great meal, especially if the price is for foods at other fast food places and you can get what you want. But Cleary College across the street started college this weekend and the lines were so long at the place we just gave up but thankfully my daughter called the Brighton Qdoba location and they had the same special.
This is unbelievable for me because it’s so much easier to get to this Cordova with had the exact same food with the exact same wonderful employees and the wonderful delicious soda pop options that they had that made us an absolutely delicious meal. The food, even though it’s the same as the other location was extremely fresh extremely hot. I mean the girl that made the rice. Oh my word did it look absolutely mouthwatering being a retired math teacher. I had a class decades ago, where my math kids had to come up with the proper ratio between syrup and water to make a delicious drink without spending too much for syrup without going to Little and was just part of a math lab that we had through this particular program I was teaching, but I noticed that the taste of the Diet Coke that I was getting here looked. It just didn’t look right it tasted tasted like there was not even look like there’s no syrup but based on my past experience Spam they came through completely raising the ratio because obviously the circle was running out and it just was spot on, so yes, I am three french fries, short of a double meal but that’s me
my phone died so I can’t give you any pictures of the food that I had or anything like that so you’re just gonna have to eat your heart out and show up next Wednesday for the special but so help me if the line is long you better be out of my way because you better make sure I get in front of you just because. PS nobody bribe me or twist my arm for this review and definitely the sponsors that run the pot machine getting forced me this either but I love reviewing for Google maps and consider this Brighton as a great spot for a wonderful fantastic...
Read moreUpdate- since my last review, I've given this location 3 more goes. The food quality and pricing has remained consistent 👍 in a positive way.
Unfortunately, the service has also remained consistent. Each of the 3 times, the young staff seemed far more interested in their side conversations than the customers, and it truly felt as though I was putting them out simply by being there. Their training didnt seem to include positive customer interactions, or a positive customer experiece. Or they just didnt care.
While the food is great, i think I'll be taking a break from Qdoba. Having little disposable income, Id rather spend it on an establishment that offers the whole experience, treats customers as though they are valued, and at least acts grateful that Ive chosen to support them (with my wallet).
Luckily there are several other options in the area.
Initial Review- The first time I got carryout from here, I was blown away by the service. The guy was super polite and helpful, assisting me navigate my new food restrictions. I was pumped to have a new place I could order from. Unfortunately, once I got to work to eat, I discovered the guacamole was fermented. Not just old or turning, but actually fermented.
Since then, I've ordered 3 more times. The guacamole is hit or miss, but only fermented once. The service is also inconsistent. Most staff don't seem to particularly enjoy customers, which is annoying as someone that worked in the service industry for 20+ years.
They also don't seem to charge consistently. I get the salsa on the side to prevent the bowl from getting so soggy. This wasn't an issue until yesterday, when I was charged for the salsa. It wasn't the full cup size, but a smaller plastic container, which they charged an additional dollar for. This wouldn't be problematic in and of itself. Again, though, it's happened one of 4 times.
Overall, the customer service is poor, the food (minus guacamole) is good, and the consistency of service, pricing, and quality need...
Read moreIf you’re looking for a meal that brings your family closer together—I mean, way closer—look no further than Qdoba. My wife, my two daughters, and I had the privilege of experiencing their food, and let me tell you, the real “flavor explosion” doesn’t happen in your mouth… it happens in your bathroom.
It started out innocent enough—just a normal dinner, a few burritos, some queso, and a side of naive optimism. Fast forward a few hours, and we were all fighting for our lives in a one-bathroom household. It was like the Hunger Games, but instead of food, we were battling for toilet rights. My wife was perched on the porcelain throne, I was in the bathtub holding a trash can, and my daughters were pleading for mercy outside the door. At one point, I considered breaking into our neighbor’s house just to use their bathroom.
I have seen things I can’t unsee. I have heard sounds no human should ever hear. The walls still echo with the cries of desperation and the gurgling of upset stomachs. Qdoba didn’t just serve us dinner—they gave us an unforgettable family experience, a shared trauma that will bond us for life.
Would I eat here again? Only if I’m trying to lose 10 pounds overnight or qualify for a medical leave of absence from work. Otherwise, I’ll be sticking to food that doesn’t make me regret every decision I’ve ever made.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for weight loss. ⭐️ for family suffering. ⭐️⭐️ for the sheer power of their food’s destructive capabilities.
