For the only Vietnamese restaurant in the town, it definitely hits the mark. I got the com suon which was the pork rib rice plate, and it definitely has authentic Viet flavor. As a Vietnamese-american growing up with Viet staples, I was a little confused why there was shrimp on my pork, but I'm not complaining. Prices are reasonable, as prices in Dorchester are around only $1-2 more. The menu is a bit small and the English wording is a bit off, so I would have recommended some pictures for customers who aren't used to Viet foods, but people who have had it before would be able to tell which dish they are ordering. The are understaffed for sure. I saw two waiters during my dinner which was after the dinner rush. since I went during an off time, service was quick and attentive, and they know English so don't be afraid of trying this place out. Be patient though, since for some, English may have not been their first language. Seating, when slow, is open - meaning they acknowledge you, and you can choose your table. This is typical for Viet restaurants so as long as they see you, you can typically choose where to sit, unless it's busy. I recommend the strawberry smoothie (tastes like the strawberry fruit bar ice cream). Very delicious. Slightly disappointed at the avocado smoothie, it lacked a bit of condensed milk, but overall good Viet food. Great access for locals who like Viet food, with...

#1 (Not super serious) but many pho vietnamese places I have been too also offer curry options. This place does not. Not the end of the world, so my wife and I ordered stir fry instead.
#2 She got the chicken stir fry, and ALL the chicken was pink and raw. She spit it out immediatly.
#3 I got beef stir fry. Packed with veggies and rice... and just 3 small thin strips of beef. Almost no beef in the beef stir fry.
#4 My wife says, no big deal. I'll push the chicken aside and have the veggies and rice. We both bite into the veggies and rice and immediatly look at each other with the same realization: NO SALT NO PEPPER. It tasted like... cardboard? Like nothing? Vietnamese is meant to be known for their robust spices but this chef didnt salt or pepper ANY of the veggies, rice, or beef.
Maybe we went on the wrong day. Maybe the main chef works during the week and is off on sundays. But whoever worked the kitchen on sunday dec 26th, fire them. Immediatly. That is a health hazard. They served raw chicken and didnt put a drop of salt in TWO different stir fry.
We were so excited to have a place open close...
Read moreEverything was so good here, from the classic pho and many different kinds of appetizers. My friends and I ordered pho, bun bo hue, fried calamari and shrimp, spring rolls, chicken wings, and boba smoothie and drinks for everyone.
The chicken was especially top notch, the salt and pepper flavor was perfect and the wings especially had a BIG CRUNCH. super crispy it was one of the favorite wings I ever had.
The bun bo hue was sooo clean-tasting it cleanses my soul. The spice gave it a nice kick and the meat selections were generous enough that I could barely finish my bowl. The noodles were freshly cooked and it was super chewy as well.
My friends ordered pho and the pho broth was also super clean and fresh tasting. The waiter mentioned they make their meatballs in house which obviously made sense because they were one of the best pho meatballs I ever had.
Overall, everything on their menu is generally 5/5 and the waiters and owners are extremely friendly. Great spot for a quick eat or if you want to order a feast like I did! Prices are great too, not too expensive and...
