Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Brookfield

Long story short: my experience here before work was beyond amazing!

Long story: I was pulled over yesterday for my headlight being out (it must've just happened, cause I never saw it before).

I get it fixed tomorrow, but since I work 3rd shift, I decided to head to work way early (before sundown) to avoid being pulled over again.

Well, as I was in the area I decided to go to the Jersey Mike's that was near where I work (basically right accross the street). It's been a long time since I've been, but that's only because I work 11pm-7am and never get a chance to go.

So I went in a little before 9pm and apologized for being so late (working 3rd shift I'm used to getting to places almost at the last second and therefore apologizing), but the guys working there made me feel welcomed by coming in so late; I was honestly shocked! (in a good way)

I guess they had just re-opened up, and whoever is in charge of the new ownership must be amazing, cause not only was that the best service I've ever had (not only at a Jersey Mike's, but also any restraunt I've been to that is near closing time) but also, they were authentic and had good vibes about them

I've been coming here since it first opened years ago and unfortunately like other restaurants that go through multiple ownership changes this location has gone downhill and fallen hard. I was in a few days ago and the terrible attitudes and hygiene practices of the staff were the final straw. I don't think anyone ever taught them common courtesy. They are charging a premium for their product and the higher prices should come with better service than what they are providing. Thankfully I was the only one in line and it only took a few minutes to get my sandwich, but what I witnessed as I sat and ate it was disgusting: gloves were not changed after handling money, itching a forehead, or picking up a knife that had fallen to the floor (thankfully they didn't use the knife again, at least not while I was there).
