We went for lunch on a beautiful spring day and the 2 of us desired to dine outside. The restaurant was pretty quiet. From the start the server tried to convince us to sit inside by saying she's not allowed to serve the food to the outdoor tables. I insisted on the outdoor seating. She served us there and served me with attitude for most of the meal. She only warmed up closer to tip time. If your 2 outdoor tables are for counter service only, in my opinion it is a detracting feature when the waitress doesn't want to walk the extra 20 ft. In fact she eventually just served us from the exterior kitchen exit. Although Johns best shouldn't be held liable for GrubHub drivers attitudes too many reviews here mention less than cordial service at this location. The food came and the meals was delicious. I expected as much as I had previously eaten at the former location. 5 stars for the meal. The relocated restaurant is very nice. I think its terrible the previous location owners didn't allow John's Best to display a forwarding door note. I'm glad we could find them online. Thank goodness they kept this Google profile up to date. There is no roadside signage. Although the frontage sign is lit at night it faces the south. It's easy to blow by the downhill entrance by day. If you're approaching from the south you might completely miss it. If you're approaching from the uphill north direction or if you're unfamiliar with the exact new location stay aware. I've always been pleased with the dining experience at the previous location. They never had outdoor sitting there. The food is so good. It would enhance any visit if they were able develop an outdoor space. It's still definitely worth the restaurant visit. We will give them another try and I suspect the star rating will increase as the outdoor seating question...

Visited John’s Best last night and doubt I’ll be coming back (I used to come here in their old location in the shop rite plaza all the time when I was a kid).

My wife ordered 2 large pizzas and we were told a 25-30 minute wait and I showed up 35 mins later to their staff blankly staring at me saying “we don’t have that order.” Obviously confused I called my wife to make sure we ordered at the right place or maybe even a wrong John best.. nope it was the correct location. My wife calls to straighten it out and they tell her they must have thrown out the slip and they will remake it and then hang up on her. My wife tells me they’re going to remake it and I say that is ridiculous if we still have to pay as they just didn’t do our order.

Next is where it gets better. My wife calls back to say we should get it for free and the front desk girl says no so my wife asks to talk to a manager. He gets on the phone and starts accusing my wife that she never even placed an order there but then all of a sudden it’s “oh we have them and they need 5-10 more mins” … this was 5-10 mins after they had already told us they were remaking the pizzas… so no you didn’t already have it.. those were the same pizzas you were already remaking.

Ultimately I received my pizzas 20 minutes late and they gave us 16 dollars off… which wasn’t even the equivalent of getting one pizza for free.

Terrible customer service and if I didn’t have a hungry 3 year old waiting for dinner I would have just left the pizzas and ordered somewhere else. As you can tell by the 4.2 overall review at this location.. you can easily find somewhere else better to get Pizza.. John’s Best is obviously very “full” of themselves when obviously they make an average product. Do yourselves a favor and find...
