Superfly Martini Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Brookings

well, we won’t be back to eat here. Let me explain why. we ordered something based like two hamburgers and they came with french fries or whatever you wanna call those things that were on the plate that we’re supposed to be french fries. They were burnt greasy and cold little thin strips of potato you can squeeze them in the grease came out, so that’s the french fries. We ordered two burgers without cheese, one well-done and the other medium rare. One burger came out well done, and even well done to the point of being burnt. I ordered the other burger, medium, rare and specifically asked the waitress to make sure that it was medium rare. Well, for some reason, restaurants have a very difficult time making a medium rare hamburger and this place was no exception. medium rare it wasn’t. It was well done! I have to waitress to have it redone and again emphasize medium rare. This one came out well done. And the bun was so soggy. You couldn’t pick it out without it completely coming apart again as I mentioned above the fries were disgusting, overcooked, greasy and cold. I have to say the waitress was trying to be very helpful, but unfortunately, the problems were not with her, but with the kitchen of teenagers cooking our food. Needless to say, I didn’t even bothered sending that one back nor did we eat any of the fries that they kept bringing to the table all being burnt, greasy and cold. And again our waitress apologize profusely, and as we explained, it was not her fault. It shouldn’t have been a problem to focus on the food in the kitchen since there were only seven customers in the whole restaurant. So sad. To her credit, our waitress comped our burgers, so fortunately we didn’t have to pay for the garbage that was put on the table. So we left disappointed and hungry! Don’t bother going here. PS. Superflys' name is perfect for the culture of this establishment! The curb appeal of this Bar and Diner does not do the service, atmosphere and menu justice! When you enter the building you'll be greeted with upbeat music, good smells and a friendly bartender style "Hello!" The building is naturally separated by a set of pillars; dining room on the left and bar on the right. There is ample seating for such a small building on either side of the wall and although they are known for their Vodka drinks, they do allow minors on the premises. The service we received was great! Everybody on staff seemed friendly and upbeat, maybe even happy to be there! We we're promptly sat and provided with drinks in a matter of minutes! The food is fantastic! Superflys' hamburgers are some of the best in the west! They are piled high with fresh ingredients and are quite tasty! My hubby ordered two of their mixed drinks and her cheerfully mood after polishing them off made it clear that they are made right and strong! We have ate here several times and have always had decent service but today was the exception. Not only did we wait over an hour for our food, several other tables who arrive and order after us were served before us. I ordered the fish sandwich with frys, the frys had maybe 4 or 5 frys and the rest was just hard small crumbly pieces that must have been in the bottom of the deep fryer left over from the other people who got their food first. After we got our check and waiting about 10 minutes for someone to return to take our payment, I finally went up to the bar to pay, where I was totally ignore by the girl there who couldn't seem to pull herself away from the guy she was chatting with. When she did finally come to help me, she took my debit card and literally walk to the other side of the bar to finish whatever she needed to say to the person she had been chatting with before finishing my transaction then handed me the receipt to sign and walked away again without even waiting for me to hand it back, not a thank you, how was your meal nothing.
