The first time I came here I waited 40 mins for them to give my sandwich to someone else and then another 15 for them to give me the wrong sandwich. I thought ok things happen must be something going on. Gave them a second chance and waited about an hour for a sandwich with no one else in front of me. The food is a little above average but the service is non existent. Counter serve so they take your name, but the only rational place to wait is outside the door at the single picnic table, and when your order is ready they make no effort to get it to you or even call out your name thru the open door. Place simply needs to tighten up their process to either have little pick up counter where people can see their order and pick it up themselves or actually call out orders or bring them out real quick when they’re ready. Railroad Street Market & Deli is the best place to get a deli sandwich in Brookings, Oregon! They have a huge selection of sandwiches (or you can build your own custom sandwich from a large selection of breads, meats, cheeses, and vegetables). They have a hot case with breakfast sandwiches, pizza, and more. Plus they're a market so you can get chips, fountain drinks, canned beverages and all sorts of snacks.

I own and operate Hurry In Curry Delivery Service in Brookings and I love delivering from Railroad Market & Deli because they're the best sandwich shop in town and they're usually pretty quick about production. Im not sure why this place has such great reviews. Though the staff was kind and courteous, I will avoid this place in the future. There have to be better options in Brookings. There is nothing original or exciting going on here. Just average plain sandwiches with basic ingredients. And the wait times are a bit much for the basic sandwiches. We waited about 20 minutes for them to make 4 different sandwiches. There were 4 employees working and no customers in line in front of us. Despite taking 20 minutes to make our sandwiches, they somehow still managed to screw up two of our orders.
