Boondoggle eats — Restaurant in Brooksville

The food was fantastic. My husband and I both had a quesadilla and they put a unique twist on the flavor with the cherry sauce. The fries were crispy and flavorful. My daughter had a cheeseburger. She's pretty picky and she didn't have any trouble eating every morsel of that burger. Where things fell a bit short was the service. Our waitress was friendly but very slow especially since there were only 2 other tables being serviced in the whole place. We walked in around the same time as another couple and we just all stood there in an awkward silence for about 10- 15 minutes while the hostess filled soda cups. Our food took a good 40 minutes to come out but was thankfully worth the wait. Cleanliness was lacking- the floor was sticky - you could feel it wherever you walked and even the tabletops/countertops probably could have used some cleaning. The garbage cans were all full, We couldn't empty our tray when we were done. There was an empty bakery case- maybe we just came on an off day....

Our first time here…. Three of us had lunch here today we spent $63 which included the tip.

Here’s what we ordered! 2 smash burgers with bacon and pepper jelly., 1 Korean chicken smash burger, 1 large millionaire fries, (it was more than enough for the three of us) 2 root beers and a Diet Coke. We would have preferred sweet tea but they were all out.

Emily on the register was very friendly and knowledgeable. You order at the counter and they bring your food to your table of which came out in about 12 minutes. Overall good! The fries were our favorite and get a thumbs up! Smash burgers were cooked perfect, seasoned well and very tasty. Korean burger was just ok.

We will more than likely go back and check out a few more items. Most definitely those fries again. 😊

We stumbled upon this place and we were not disappointed. We ordered the Smash Burger and the Gravy Bomb sliders, along with the Millionaire Fries. The Smash burger was super flavorful and juicy. The combination of the black garlic mayo, hot pepper onion jam and crispy tobacco onions made this burger top notch and probably one of the best burgers I've eaten. The Gravy Bomb was delicious and topped with a super flavorful brown Gravy, cheese and crispy onions. The fries were crispy and the topping was delicious as well.
