Unfortunately, I don't know if we will be coming back. My husband and I felt very disrespected this evening. After picking up an order through the drive thru and paying 50 dollars including a tip, we found out after he got home that our order was very wrong. We used to live in Brooksville and found this awesome little place. Well it was awesome while the mother ran it. I literally ranted over this place and left good reviews everywhere I could and recommend everyone we know who enjoys Asian food. After moving 45 mins away, we still made the trip to purchase her food. We order the same thing everytime. A large Mongolian beef with a side extra cooked bean sprouts, a large schezuan pork, and 7 egg rolls. Tonight it was ran completely by teenagers. They didn't know how to cook the bean sprouts or how to ring them up. No biggie, but when we got home and started to make table we had a large beef noodle instead of Mongolian beef and when we called to speak to them about it, they argued with my husband that he didn't know what he ordered and then to end the call told him that the owner would call him in a few mins. We never received the call and after eating what we received the food just wasn't the same. The pork was very fatty, with large, rubbery fatty pieces and very little meat attached to the fat. It was flavorful, but very little meat to fat ratio. The beef noodles were okay, but again. Mostly noodles and barely any beef. I just don't know if it was worth the money this time, or if Im willing to pay another 50 bucks for a pot luck. We always order the same thing. We know what we ordered and it was just very disrespectful to argue that we are just wrong and have no idea what we ordered. I dunno. Just super disappointed, we really used to love this place, but those kids don't know what their doing, let alone customer service. That was just so rude.
Edit to add response to owners response, they did not repeat the order. None the less the fact that you can't take responsibility and act like its my fault. No problem. I know what I ordered. YOU were not there. Whoever told you that lied to you. But whatever, no problem. We won't come back and will warn others. Thanks for confirming my decision. I will pay someone else for food. Great customer service. Very disappointed. What I said what I said about the food still stands. Why did they give me 3 things with noodles? If my husband heard lo mein he would have said something, seeing how he HATES lo mein and we NEVER order it in this house. I had no reason to believe mu order was going to be wrong this time. But go ahead and tell me how it is. Im sure glad I tipped. I should have gotten better pictures of the pork. Not worth the money anymore even with the bad...
Read moreUgh, I hate to do this. Here goes. I ordered chicken curry, fried wonton, and brown sugar bubble tea. Husband got blueberry tea and the peppered beef rice bowl with a side of fried rice. The inside is super cute and the teas were good and that's where the good ends. I love curry and my food was nothing but salt chicken bouillon flavor. I k ow this flavor I cook with it. There was no curry flavor at all, if there qas it was over powered by the salt. There was more salt in my food than the gulf of Mexico. The husband's was almost as bad. The girl who took our order was very quiet and thats ok. She made our teas. I noticed after a while all but one customer besides us that was there had ordered food. Did they already know it was bad? There's a sign by the register that says if you don't like my cooking standards then lower your standards, I took a pic of it and found it ironic. 40 bucks down the drain...my advice just go for the bubble tea. I've uploaded pics and you can see I barely ate any of my food. Same with hubby. I worry for the creatures in the gulf of Mexico and its salinity levels since it all ended up in our food. PS. My husband never got his fried rice but we also weren't charged for it. And the owner has responded to other reviews about the style being Taiwanese style and that's exactly why I wanted to try this place. It's not about me not understanding the style of cooking it's about terrible food being served. Owner responded sayi.g I've cooked here for 30 years. But where and not that salty. I also said we asked for fried rice but never got it and we weren't charged. OWNER...stop defending poor food and service and do...
Read moreMy family has been loyally ordering from Taipei Taipei for a long time and On October 6th 2023 I had placed an order by phone and gave the young lady my name in advance and told her I will be picking up my order in the restaurant.
My order was beef with peppers and onions with upgraded fried rice and they were out of spring rolls (major disappointment) so I settled for the egg roll and I ordered a small vegetable fried rice and I had confirmed in advance over the phone with the young lady what my total was $7.99 for the beef with peppers and onions plus $1.50 for the upgraded fried rice and the egg roll is included and the small vegetable fried rice is $4.95 so the grand total including Florida sales tax was about $15.37.
After I had returned home I looked at the Taipei Taipei receipt and was not too pleased at all to discover that Taipei Taipei charged me $34.85 for food that I never ordered and I should NOT have been charged for and when I called Taipei Taipei a restaurant employee had RUDELY answered the phone and YELLED AT ME "WE ARE CLOSED" well If you were closed then by all means do not answer the phone and YELL AT YOUR LOYAL CUSTOMER "WE ARE CLOSED" and I do not appreciate you being extremely rude and yelling at me when all I was trying to do was talk to the owner to make this right and make arrangements to get my refund!!!
💜UPDATED SATURDAY OCTOBER 7th 2023 THE RESTAURANT OWNER DID THE RIGHT THING AND CONTACTED US ON SATURDAY OCTOBER 7TH 2023 AND THEN SHE APOLOGIZED TO US AND FULLY REFUNDED US AND WE DO APPRECIATE THE OWNER WHO IS A NICE LADY TO...
