Local Bite Craft Burger — Restaurant in Brooksville

5-23-24 ADDENDUM to my 5-22-24 review yesterday (shown below) and the owner's response yesterday (also below) follows...

Thank you for your offer for a free meal as recompense for the disastrous service and the four meals (most severly OVERcooked and others grossly UNDERcooked) but my family will not be back to your restaurant ever again.

You never should've opened yesterday if you were understaffed and lacked product. And, the one ditzy waitress who did show up forgot customer orders at many tables. She should be fired. She couldn't even explain to us what menu items were not available yesterday. Easily discombobulated.

In addition, you deperately need to hire a short-order cook and not -- as owner -- try to cook when you aren't qualified as such.

Moreover, those accolades from your diners on Google reviews had to be from family and friends trying to boost your morale and entice new customers which is what happened to us. They were successful -- we were tricked. NEVER AGAIN.

It's fortunate that we had a package of TUMS in the car. Each "Local Bite" stayed with us -- all night. 5-22-24 The WORST restaurant meal I've had in three years. One waitress for the entire restaurant, a cook/owner who needs cooking/management instruction, they ran out of basic sodas, pork dish was incinerated, took forever to get service, took longer than forever to get our meals, overpriced for what you don't get. We weren’t too impressed with this place on our travels. The food was great however one of the servers left while we were there, so service slowed down a bit. And before he left our food sat in the window for 5+ minutes and also noticed he parked directly in front of the door, not too sure why he would take up a space a guest could park, when there is a parking lot directly behind the restaurant. On the menu it’s seems the Resturaunt is more interested in advertising local business that putting thing on the menu. It’s our fault we didn’t look at the menu, but would have loved some other option than Mac and cheese for dinner. Also the tea is gross and after we exchanged the tea for sprite, we were still charged. The eggs rolls were delish but for 11$ I’m surprised there wasn’t more of it. The food here is great and the beer is fresh and cold, but they need more staff to run the FOH on a weekend night. We probably will choose other restaurants on our travels before...

Wouldn't know about the food or service. The hours, which were updated "by the business" two weeks ago, said the business was open until 9:00 pm. They should mention they close their kitchen at 7:30ish. This is how you lose customers. I will not return. One chance lost.

Edit after owner response: I am highly impressed by the owners response. I will give this business another chance. Expect an update once I have had the opportunity to try out this restaurant.

I returned anxious to try the paella. Although the online menu prominently featured paella as the first item on their menu, it is no longer an option. Again, this establishment cannot maintain their online presence. They still managed to earn some of my money as I had placed a drink order.

The server could not be bothered to smile so I gave a low rating regarding service. She was fairly prompt and professional. The atmosphere is unremarkable.
