Came back wanted the chicken ka-bobs and was a total dissapointment yall.. i mean how is it called chicken ka-bob and no chicken but ham and cheese wrapped in bacon seriously??? NO this is why i returned to come and eat this dish it is only 4 pieces and yet they messed it up. Mgr came to table gave me a horrible excuse. Said im sorry but the kids/workers sometimes they do and sometimes they don't. Im like whaat??? Then you shouldnt give false advertisement on your menu. It dont make sence whoever is running the kitchen need to be 101 on the dish to be prepared for client. If not what are you paying for food that was omitted from the plate and still get charged full price. Come on now... here is the pic of what I mean. Then he tells me after i still have my dish i wait meanwhile getting cold he brings me like 3oz. Of grilled chicken fajita to put in the ka-bobs🤯 I was just baffled. Idk what to think. Last time it was the flautas being empty and now this. Oh well live and learn just when I thought it was a great spot to eat here they dropping the ball... less food and pay more. What a disappointment!. The menu tells you what's in it. We'll it was incomplete.
Well it was so delish this week decided to come back on a Saturday was so very good my husband ordered the carne guisado plate very moist and It was traditional and I ordered the flauta plate ok this was a bit of an issue that being said I didn't like when they brought it out super shysty with the serving if the chicken inside the flauta it's like they deep fried everything so seems as if I'm having Jerky Flautas I addressed it and they remade them and much better yet she claims that is how they make them I'm like what am I paying for rice and beans... No, there is no chicken. Come on now. So they made me happy and corrected it and added more chicken enough for it to look like a decent flauta I have before and after pics of this plate. Will I order again probably Not only because I don't want to be correcting the issue of where the chicken is inside, and it is super shysty. You can be the judge on the photo so so far for me flautas is not a good deal not worth it. Vs. Other plates I have to try my friend ordered the Pollo en Mole his thing and described it as they already have boiled chicken and slap the mole on it so it don't taste like they made it together because logically it should come off the bone when cooked with the Mole IYKYK. His friend ordered the Chile Arellano plate, which was decent. But I just took pics of their plates, and their opinion is what I wrote. And put my opinion on them flautas I got. The ones that were good were the ones that were bitten. The thin one, well, you can just tell. But that was just that. But I will return to try a different dish. Prices are ok. Serving to me is pretty good. But the flauta plate is not worth the price. Especially the amount the way it is stuffed.
Came in a Thursday abt 6pm and I didn't know about this place till I scrolled places to eat on this Google and it popped up and it called my attention for one reason someone posted a pic of Chicken ka-bobs and to my surprise looked like an old prior restaurant that had almost same names and yet almost identical taste I didn't not hesitate to order the violets Ka-bobs plate was so delish and the chicken ka-bobs were awesome. If you have never tried them, I recommend it even tho they look shysty with 3 balls to the plate you will get full with them. Well, in my opinion, I got full, and the fajita was moist and had a cheese enchilada. My husband ordered the enchiladas verdes, and they were super good. Very cheesy to. Everything was up to par that I highly recommend and will return. Oh, may I add the gentleman who plays on the organ/piano plays very nice and sings...
Read moreThe food was ok. Although the food was fresh, in my humble opinion, it lacked flavor. I also think it was over priced for the normal, everyday Mexican style selections. I could list several restaurants that add a little more creativity to their plates and charge the same. We were served tostadas (chips) and salsa right away. The tostadas were extra crispy but I felt were a little too greasy and tasted as if they were cooked in old oil (almost rancid). The salsa was not impressive. It is an American style Salsa. I expected some spicy salsa options from a restaurant with "Cinco de Mayo". They did not have salsa verde, salsa roja, salsa macha or any other true Mexican Salsa. Cold American Salsa is what they have..🥴 There was only one waiter on shift (that we could see). He was polite but was hastily taking our drink and food orders. I hadn't even finished asking for my half sweet and half unsweet tea before he started walking away. There were about 6 other tables being serviced. Although this didn't impact the waiters good attitude, he forgot to bring us napkins after we asked for them and we had to look for him for drink refills. It was good food and service but there's other more delightful food options for this...
Read moreI had been to this restaurant before and I ordered the fajita asada. Pretty decent. Visited this place a second time during my lunch hour and server was nice and courteous at the start. She took our order and walked away very respectful. 40 minutes passed and no food was served. I told the usher I had to go because I was on my lunch hour. He said let me get your server. The server excuse was she was busy serving and closing out another table. “How is that relevant to my visit?” 40 minutes of serving another table? I get it the other table was a large party so I am sure she was trying to collect a good tip but neglecting my visit is not correct. She could’ve had one of her coworkers check up me. I politely told her I had to go and left. I don’t think I will give them...
