Super Cream — Restaurant in Brownsville

walked in asked for employment to a worker at the counter as their was a sign saying that they were hiring was told to speak to the manager which was a female she was sittting In a table ahead of me walked up to her and asked her if she was hiring she said that they weren't hiring after all said the sign had just been their for weeks I then proceeded to walk away as I was walking out I spotted the worker who had told me that they were hiring near the exit I waited till he was finished doing what he was doing serving some customers their food before exiting the building was going to tell him that the manager had told me she wasn't hiring after all but before I could even say anything to him the manager intervened and told the worker that she did want me their and that I couldn't be their and told him to tell me to leave as she couldn't speak any english I'm assuming the worker could and he was her translator but I understand both languages don't know why she couldn't tell me herself anyways and why'd she say that at the very last moment before I was actually already walking out I found that very hostile and rude on her part so anyways i left the premises and I thought to myself that was very mean I decided to go back and confront her but before that I took out my phone because I wanted to catch her behavior towards me on camera so I went inside recording asked to speak to the manager wanted to know why she did what she did but never came out then this random waiter who I believe goes by the name beto asked me what had happened told him about it but instead asks about the camera and is concerned on why I'm recording yet he doesn't even know what's going on but acts like he does and thinks it's about the phone recording changing the subject starts telling me out of nowhere that I couldn't be their that I was already told then this individual proceeds to snatch my phone away from my hand which is considered an assault in my head I was like what's wrong with these people ?!I've never ever been to this restaurant before in my existence mind you it's the very first time I step in yet out of nowhere soon as I walk in that door& before getting out as well I get disrespected, mistreated, humiliated ,harassed & assaulted after everything I dropped the issue got over it 3 miles away not even in the premises anymore or near it I get pulled over by the police telling me that they the employees who were very unpleasant towards me called it in as disturbance of the peace i told them my side of the story yet told me that wasn't what they said I told them why r they calling it in now I'm not even their only shared their side of the story didn't mention I was assaulted nor how I was harassed & received with hostile behavior I wasn't even warned that the police was going to be called these individuals waited until I left and then called it on me which is a very dirty move with malicious intent everyone knows that if you're going to call the police on someone you're supposed to let them know before you do especially when its regarding disturbance of the peace i stood my ground these people tried to get me into trouble for whatever reason reported the incident to the Brownsville police department but according to the officer at the front desk since it was an privated ran business and I had already been told to leave that the assault was justified and when it's a privated own business (family ran) supposebly no explanation needs to be given when someone's getting kicked out who knows if the officer was being truthful or not but at least I tried to defend myself in a legal way and standing up for yourself and against something that you believe that is wrong is all that matters at the end of the day I'd give it no stars but you can't comment unless you actually give out a star...

Disappointing Breakfast Experience at a Supposedly “Mexican” Restaurant

Breakfast with the family should feel warm, welcoming, and seamless—especially when the cuisine is Mexican, a culture celebrated worldwide for its hospitality and customer care. Unfortunately, this restaurant completely missed the mark.

From the moment we sat down, the experience was a test of patience. It didn’t matter whether you ordered from the front or back of the menu; everything seemed to take an eternity. For a breakfast setting, this is unforgivable—especially when you have hungry kids or elders in tow.

Worse still, the basic tenets of service were neglected. Tables weren’t cleaned regularly, leaving used napkins and other remnants of previous diners. At one point, we resorted to tidying up ourselves just to have a decent space to eat. Requests for items had to be made multiple times, as the staff, while friendly, seemed entirely unfocused and untrained.

What stings the most is the betrayal of what Mexican hospitality is supposed to represent. In Mexico, we pride ourselves on making every customer feel like a guest in our home—valued and cared for. This restaurant failed spectacularly in embodying that spirit.

For a family breakfast, this was a disheartening and frustrating experience. A restaurant like this should reflect the warmth and efficiency that defines Mexican culture, but sadly, it didn’t even come close.

Visited this past Sunday for the first time. I enter the restaurant and was not acknowledged, I didn't know if I had to just seat myself or wait for someone to give me a table. Finally, someone who was not a worker tells me that I have to check in with the hostess. After being seated, our waiter took our orders and I asked him about the Michelada that they have on the menu, he tells me that he needs to check to see if they have all the ingredients to make it and get back with me on that. Well, he never got back with me on that. In fact, he hardly got back with me on anything. I saw him attending everyone in the restaurant except me. I had to flag him down so that I could pay. I asked him if I could just give him my card or if I needed to go up to the register to pay and he told me he could take my payment, which again he never did because he was too busy helping everyone else except me. So finally I stood up to pay at the register and he then sees me and takes my payment. It's sad because I would have probably tipped him great since I had just gotten a nice bonus at work and was in Brownsville for a last minute trip.
